2014 5-star Da’Shawn Hand announces commitment date

We don’t know which of Michigan, Florida, and Alabama will be Da’Shawn Hand’s choice, but we know when he’ll choose: Nov. 14, at his high school in Virginia.

The chase for Da’Shawn Hand will last another three months, but not much more: the nation’s No. 1 recruit announced a date for his commitment via Twitter Sunday.

That’s a few days after his last scheduled high school game for Woodbridge (Va.), although before any playoff games. Although it’s somewhat early in the process with many big name recruits waiting until Signing Day in early February, he’ll take his time to weigh the three schools he’s considering: Alabama, Florida, and Michigan.

The 6’5, 247-pound defensive end is considered the No. 1 player in the nation by Rivals, No. 4 by ESPN, and No. 6 by Rivals. Hand was a rare two-time player at Nike’s The Opening, where SB Nation’s Bud Elliott interviewed him about his college choices in June.
