Peter Berkes [7:26 PM]:
@Nickel Rover I’ll take it!
Ian Boyd [7:25 PM]:

— College GameDay (@CollegeGameDay) September 28, 2013
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:24 PM]:
@Nickel Rover Yes, there was definitely a “what the…” hesitation that threw him off
Peter Berkes [7:24 PM]:
That was really, really fun.
BullManUGA [7:23 PM]:
Football.
Ian Boyd [7:23 PM]:
I think Mettenberger was thrown off by Jordan Jenkins hurdling over his protection
Rodger Sherman [7:22 PM]:
jordan jenkins has been leaping over people in practice. came into play on the biggest play of the game.
Ian Boyd [7:22 PM]:
This play will be significant
Jason Kirk [7:22 PM]:
So! Time to find out whether the next GAME OF THE CENTURY is LSU-Alabama or, uh, Georgia-Alabama?
Rodger Sherman [7:21 PM]:
@Milk Steak agreed
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:21 PM]:
You guys, football
jokastrength [7:21 PM]:
Good God this game.
Peter Berkes [7:21 PM]:
Lord’s work, Godfrey
Steven Godfrey [7:20 PM]:

So hey, Breaking Bad….
Mark Ennis [7:19 PM]:
OH GOD CAN'T BREATHE
— Pod Katt (@valleyshook) September 28, 2013
BullManUGA [7:19 PM]:
So it’s legal for an OL to wrap his arms around a defender’s waist when he gets past the line, now?
Ian Boyd [7:18 PM]:
Mettenberger throws a freaking dart
Ricky O’Donnell [7:18 PM]:
Jesus, this game
Steven Godfrey [7:18 PM]:
Wee bit of holding on that one.
Ian Boyd [7:18 PM]:
LSU goes to empty set…
Ryan Nanni [7:18 PM]:
(cough) SCREEN PASS LSU (cough)
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:17 PM]:
Impressed Mettenberger held onto the ball
Ricky O’Donnell [7:17 PM]:
@Nickel Rover NFL would have found a way to call a 15-yard penalty on that
Ian Boyd [7:17 PM]:
when they want to, at least
Ian Boyd [7:17 PM]:
If there’s one thing Georgia knows it’s how to bring pressure
Adam Jacobi [7:17 PM]:
RIP Zach Mettenberger
Ian Boyd [7:16 PM]:
that was a sack
Ryan Nanni [7:16 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey Agreed. Go Dolphins!
Steven Godfrey [7:16 PM]:
Hey guys: football is the best.
Ian Boyd [7:16 PM]:
Florida did what?
Mark Ennis [7:15 PM]:
Florida goes right down the field, chews up 8 minutes, lead Kentucky 7-0.
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:15 PM]:
Should Georgia let LSU score on this play to get the ball back?
Rodger Sherman [7:15 PM]:
@runthedive it’s pretty perfect frat swoop execution
Clay Wendler [7:14 PM]:

Rodger Sherman [7:14 PM]:
, from a few hours ago
Rodger Sherman [7:14 PM]:
Guys, I think we're going to get a Les Miles Clock Management Special today.
— Chris Fuhrmeister (@ccfuhr) September 28, 2013
Peter Berkes [7:14 PM]:
Zach Mettenberger’s haircut is pretty stupid
Steven Godfrey [7:14 PM]:
Wait, Ole Miss ran the SAME WR pass as their last game?
jokastrength [7:13 PM]:
well Les has 90+ seconds and a TO… so, [BLACKHOLE OPENS IN ATHENS]
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:13 PM]:
Please rush at least 4 UGA. Make it interesting
Ian Boyd [7:13 PM]:
Murray held the safety really well there. That doesn’t translate to the NFL though, o rbig games
Jason Kirk [7:13 PM]:
| 4th | 1:47 |
| LSU | 41 |
| Georgia | /tomahawk chop |
Steven Godfrey [7:13 PM]:
Just as impressive as Murray’s arm has been his vision. He’s found the holes in zone coverage.
Ryan Nanni [7:13 PM]:
@Mark Ennis SHIT.
Ian Boyd [7:12 PM]:
Wow, if Gurley played whole game I’m definitely proven wrong on this game, I suspect
Ricky O’Donnell [7:12 PM]:
This is right there with Bama-A&M as best game of the year
BullManUGA [7:12 PM]:
They scored too quickly…
Mark Ennis [7:12 PM]:
@Run Home Jack You win Rice.
Steven Godfrey [7:12 PM]:
Touchdown, UGA. 1:47 left. LAWD
Ian Boyd [7:11 PM]:
I guess not if you have a 4 point lead
Ian Boyd [7:11 PM]:
Craig Loston saves a TD…maybe should have let that one go
Ryan Nanni [7:11 PM]:
@Mark Ennis 138! What do I win?
BullManUGA [7:11 PM]:
Mark Richt wants an “accurate pastor.”
Steven Godfrey [7:11 PM]:
That stadium is HUGE
Mark Ennis [7:10 PM]:
Count the people at the Rice-FAU game:
Jason Kirk [7:10 PM]:
Steven Godfrey [7:10 PM]:
Boos at the injured player. Keep it knowledgable of the rules, UGA fans
Ian Boyd [7:10 PM]:
Make him beat Mills down the sideline
Ian Boyd [7:09 PM]:
I don’t like LSU dropping the safeties so deep, Murray is master of checkdowns
Jason Kirk [7:09 PM]:
LEFT TOO MUCH TIME ON THE CLOCK FOR ZACH METTENBERGER, DOESN’T MATTER WHETHER GEORGIA SCORED YET OR NOT, HE’S VERY EFFICIENT
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:09 PM]:
First and goal at the one, does UGA kneel?
Clay Wendler [7:08 PM]:

Jason Kirk [7:08 PM]:
Ian Boyd [7:08 PM]:
The way LSU closes on passes in the secondary is terrifying, even though Murray’s been nails
Rodger Sherman [7:08 PM]:
SLOW DOWN UGA DON’T GIVE LSU THE BALL LAST
Ian Boyd [7:08 PM]:
If I’m a Georgia fan, I’m having a heart attack right now
Steven Godfrey [7:07 PM]:
Even press folks jumped back thinking that pass was going to be picked off.
Steven Godfrey [7:07 PM]:
Murray’s been his best self since the second drive of the game.
Ian Boyd [7:06 PM]:
They mostly come out at night…mostly
Ian Boyd [7:06 PM]:
sometimes the 3 man rush is the most dangerous kind. Sometimes
Mark Ennis [7:06 PM]:
Todd Grantham might be the most overrated coordinator in the country
— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) September 28, 2013
Rodger Sherman [7:06 PM]:
How does the NCAA still run these ads?
Steven Godfrey [7:05 PM]:
Still curious about UGA’s decision to drop everyone back on that 3rd down.
Jason Kirk [7:05 PM]:
| 4th | 4:14 |
| LSU | 41 |
| Georgia | Saban2014.com |
Mark Ennis [7:04 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman just kinda purple.
Ian Boyd [7:04 PM]:
Solid game by Bell, better game by OU OL and secondary
Steven Godfrey [7:04 PM]:
And here we go, Aaron Murray.
Ian Boyd [7:04 PM]:
OU has finished off the Irish
Rodger Sherman [7:04 PM]:
@Mark Ennis undefeated/amazing?
BullManUGA [7:04 PM]:
So UGA is playing with 4 people on defense now, right?
Ian Boyd [7:03 PM]:
Mettenberger, my goodness.
Mark Ennis [7:03 PM]:
Kentucky looks just like Northwestern.
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:03 PM]:
So at what point do you let LSU score if you’re UGA
Mark Ennis [7:03 PM]:
Fedora after S. Carolina: "I just don't think we're that far away." Fedora after ECU: "as I've said before, we've got a long ways to go."
— Sherrell McMillan (@rellevent21) September 28, 2013
Steven Godfrey [7:02 PM]:
Mettenberger is over 300 yards. I’d put this against the ’12 Bama game now.
Steven Godfrey [7:02 PM]:
So – why did they give Mett time to throw?
Ian Boyd [7:02 PM]:
Georgia D been much firmer than I expected
DougieNix [7:01 PM]:
Why teams will only rush three ever against a QB like Mettenberger I will never know
Mark Ennis [7:01 PM]:
UK Radio's Tom Leach says Jalen Whitlow will be the Kentucky starting quarterback
— Mark Story (@markcstory) September 28, 2013
BullManUGA [7:01 PM]:
FIRE EVERYONE
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [7:01 PM]:
That’s why you don’t rush three other than on a hail mary
Jason Kirk [7:01 PM]:
FIRE DEFENSE BOBO
Ryan Nanni [7:01 PM]:
SANTA MARIA, LSU.
Rodger Sherman [7:01 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey corner was blitzing but it was jordan jenkins who got the QB
Steven Godfrey [7:00 PM]:
That sack on first down was a corner blitz. It’s feast or famine. You have to love it.
Ian Boyd [7:00 PM]:
the victim of that hit, Clay, running over the Irish now. Seems to be okay.
Rodger Sherman [7:00 PM]:
We went from beautiful offense to false starts and delays of game and messed up snaps
Ian Boyd [6:59 PM]:
crowd+college players
Steven Godfrey [6:59 PM]:
Timeout LSU, UGA looks like they’re in quarters
Clay Wendler [6:59 PM]:

Rodger Sherman [6:59 PM]:
What happened to these teams in the last two minutes?
Steven Godfrey [6:59 PM]:
LSU fumbles, but recovers and NOW IT IS VERY MUCH LOUD.
Steven Godfrey [6:59 PM]:
Grantham sure as hell isn’t worried about a young secondary.
Steven Godfrey [6:58 PM]:
Big sack by UGA there.
BullManUGA [6:57 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey Which is a rather long time for Murray.
Jason Kirk [6:56 PM]:
Ian Boyd [6:55 PM]:
OU runs outside zone really well. Did they bring in Gibbs this offseason?
Steven Godfrey [6:55 PM]:
In a shocking turn, visor bro is a LSU fan.
Ryan Nanni [6:54 PM]:
Well this surely won’t be a tense 8 minutes.
Steven Godfrey [6:54 PM]:
A bad pass from Murray and it’s 4th down. Haven’t seen that since the first quarter INT on the second drive.
Mark Ennis [6:53 PM]:
Never get tired of Les Miles clapping like he’s banging two tennis rackets together.
BamaSlymm [6:53 PM]:
@Clay Wendler He didn’t get that. When he landed the ball was behind the line of scrimmage….
Passive Voice [6:53 PM]:
UConn seniors went to the Fiesta Bowl as freshmen.
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [6:52 PM]:
Murray must have a light caress normally for the center to not miss it
Ian Boyd [6:52 PM]:
Notre Dame in empty set again, trying to throw at Colvin…
BullManUGA [6:52 PM]:
#Dwags
Clay Wendler [6:51 PM]:
i think so
Clay Wendler [6:51 PM]:

Peter Berkes [6:51 PM]:
@Run Home Jack Down in front!
Steven Godfrey [6:51 PM]:
Aw shit, it’s 2007 again. (Ole Miss thing)
Ian Boyd [6:50 PM]:
@Clay, did he get that?
Ryan Nanni [6:50 PM]:
But Could Michigan Beat Buffalo? COLUMN:
Clay Wendler [6:50 PM]:

Ian Boyd [6:49 PM]:
Score still 35-21, Sooners
Peter Berkes [6:49 PM]:
COME ON YOU MIGHTY BUFFALO BULLS
Mark Ennis [6:49 PM]:
It should be said, QB play in the SEC is off the charts this season.
Ian Boyd [6:49 PM]:
Notre Dame stops OU on 3rd and 3: Crowd manages a hearty roar of approval
Steven Godfrey [6:48 PM]:
Big pass from Murray on third down, aided by a roughing the passer.
Rodger Sherman [6:47 PM]:
Remember: part of the reason UConn sucking is so funny is because it means Michigan sucks, too.
Rodger Sherman [6:47 PM]:
@Jason Kirk and last week, too!
Jason Kirk [6:46 PM]:
I gotta say there’s a curiously high level of interest in UConn football in here today.
Ryan Nanni [6:46 PM]:
Guys, I don’t want to be alarmist, but Notre Dame might not make it back to the championship.
Steven Godfrey [6:46 PM]:
UConn embed next week.
Ian Boyd [6:46 PM]:
hahaha
Jason Kirk [6:46 PM]:
Mark Ennis [6:46 PM]:
WE LOST TO BUFFALLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO
— TheUConnBlog (@TheUConnBlog) September 28, 2013
Ian Boyd [6:45 PM]:
Jordan Phillips destroying the ND center right now
Rodger Sherman [6:45 PM]:
@Jason Kirk get it out of here
Ian Boyd [6:45 PM]:
OU just bullrushed ND hard, tipped Rees, nearly another pick-6
LincolnParkWildcat [6:45 PM]:
No matter where floyd is he needs to be freed. #FREEFLOYD
Jason Kirk [6:44 PM]:
Steven Godfrey [6:44 PM]:
@Mark Ennis Gross is so, so small. They need size inside
Ian Boyd [6:44 PM]:
That’s a quick but small group
Ian Boyd [6:44 PM]:
Wow, doubling down on undersized guys again
Passive Voice [6:43 PM]:
final in Buffalo: UConn loses by 29
Mark Ennis [6:43 PM]:
Robert Nkemdiche is going to get the start at defensive tackle tonight. Cameron Whigham and C.J. Johnson at the ends, Issac Gross at nose.
— Hugh Kellenberger (@HKellenbergerCL) September 28, 2013
Steven Godfrey [6:42 PM]:
Corrected: I’m hearing rumors rumors of Alabama ref bullshit in Tuscaloosa.
Jason Kirk [6:42 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey Nope. They made the right call, might’ve gotten screwed by first-down measurement.
Steven Godfrey [6:41 PM]:
I’m hearing rumors of Ole Miss dumbassery in Tuscaloosa
Jason Kirk [6:41 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman Georgia fans, for one, love tennis.
Ian Boyd [6:41 PM]:
That Bell wasn’t properly hydrated for a game against Notre Dame points to why he didn’t win starting job initially
Rodger Sherman [6:40 PM]:
We all kinda cringe at how much love the SEC gets, but: UGA-USC, Bama-A&M, and this have all been spectacular.
Clay Wendler [6:39 PM]:

Rodger Sherman [6:39 PM]:
@BullManUGA how many SEC fans got that joke? 11?
Ian Boyd [6:39 PM]:
I’d be more than a little excited if Miss beats Bama
Jason Kirk [6:38 PM]:
First play of Ole Miss-Bama: play action to Laquon Treadwell for 38 yards.
BullManUGA [6:38 PM]:
Tennis jokes!
Ian Boyd [6:37 PM]:
Notre Dam’es no. 30 just demonstrated what targeting is
Jason Kirk [6:37 PM]:
| 4th | 12:55 |
| LSU | 34 |
| Georgia | FIRE DEFENSE BOBO |
Mark Ennis [6:37 PM]:
So in the three matchups of top ten SEC teams, none have failed to score at least 30 points.
Steven Godfrey [6:37 PM]:
Hillard around the left side and it’s a about to be a tie game.
Ian Boyd [6:36 PM]:
Gabe Ikard neutralizing Louis Nix today, everything coming up Crimson and cream
Ian Boyd [6:36 PM]:
Yeti-sasquatch backfield for OU
Passive Voice [6:36 PM]:
jesus, kneed in the head and held on
Ricky O’Donnell [6:35 PM]:
That was some pretty serious triple coverage
Rodger Sherman [6:35 PM]:
what a catch! what a throw! what a game!
Ryan Nanni [6:35 PM]:
SEC DEFENSE AIN’T WORTH A LICK PAWWWWL
Steven Godfrey [6:35 PM]:
Mettenberger DAMN.
Rodger Sherman [6:34 PM]:
scoreboard regardless, FSU has given up 34 points to Boston College, which doesn’t seem ideal
Steven Godfrey [6:34 PM]:
UGA’s been sneaking closer and closer on early downs….
Ian Boyd [6:34 PM]:
Should I continue? Baffling decision
Ian Boyd [6:34 PM]:
5) You’ve thrown 3 interceptions already
Ian Boyd [6:33 PM]:
4) Your opponent is also known for great secondary, including a future NFL corner
BullManUGA [6:33 PM]:
They got it anyway.
Steven Godfrey [6:33 PM]:
The OPTION is back in the LSU offense. A cold wind blows.
Ian Boyd [6:33 PM]:
3) Your opponent is known for undersized front
Ian Boyd [6:33 PM]:
2) Your QB is Tommy Rees
Ian Boyd [6:32 PM]:
others including 1) You’ve run for rushed for 220 yards today
Passive Voice [6:32 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman Maine’s the best team in Canada
Ian Boyd [6:32 PM]:
ball tipped at the line…one of many reasons you don’t go empty on 3rd and 3
Ian Boyd [6:32 PM]:
3rd and 3: Notre Dame in empty set…what in teh world?
Rodger Sherman [6:32 PM]:
Oh, that’s rough, having a first taken away by the refs
Steven Godfrey [6:31 PM]:
False start, linesman.
Mark Ennis [6:30 PM]:
UK just announced they’re starting a walk on at left guard vs. Florida.
Ian Boyd [6:30 PM]:
I’m betting this is where LSU’s size and Georgia’s youth opens some holes for Hills
Ryan Nanni [6:29 PM]:
Gary Danielson does know that Gurley wasn’t playing run defense, right?
Patrick Vint [6:28 PM]:
Fourth and game for Minnesota intercepted.
Ian Boyd [6:28 PM]:
This is the trick for Notre Dame this year, they have all these massive ILB’s that don’t move as well as Te’o
Rodger Sherman [6:27 PM]:
@Passive Voice you forget Maine!
Ryan Nanni [6:27 PM]:
You got shut down by this, Michigan State.
Ian Boyd [6:27 PM]:
Bell to Shephard again for 2 points
Ian Boyd [6:26 PM]:
going for 2 here
Steven Godfrey [6:26 PM]:
Dueling marching bands is just so dumb and wonderful and college football.
Ian Boyd [6:26 PM]:
OU got Shephard on Calabrese, well done
Passive Voice [6:26 PM]:
Buffalo pick. FSU pick. Tonight’s Harvard-Brown game will determine the best team New England.
Ian Boyd [6:26 PM]:
Although Bell just hit a slant for a TD to Sterling Shepard, a lightning quick slot
Ricky O’Donnell [6:26 PM]:
55-yard touchdown for Oklahoma
Ian Boyd [6:25 PM]:
I’m watching QB’s here who won’t be in the Heisman discussion this year
Ian Boyd [6:25 PM]:
Oh yeah, Mettenberger has been real good, huh?
Steven Godfrey [6:24 PM]:
I’d say the winning team’s QB will enter the Heisman discussion.
Steven Godfrey [6:24 PM]:
@jokastrength He’s transfixed, dipping Skoal. All he’s said is “Last possession on this fucker, man.”
Rodger Sherman [6:24 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey sounds like returning to UGA has dealt a mental blow to him
Ian Boyd [6:24 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman, like McCarron or Mariota?
Rodger Sherman [6:23 PM]:
@Nickel Rover sure, but if someone runs the table this year, they take the advantage.
jokastrength [6:23 PM]:
So, whatever happened with Masters Bro in the Press Box?
Steven Godfrey [6:23 PM]:
Just a reminder Mettenberger is 15-23 for 230 and 3 TDs, and his offense produced 13 net yards rushing in the first half.
Ryan Nanni [6:23 PM]:
Small things make all the difference, and nowhere is that more true than Lake Bell vs. Blake Bell.
Mark Ennis [6:22 PM]:
Hahahaha UConn just threw another pick.
Ian Boyd [6:22 PM]:
Bringing the Yeti back in at QB for OU
Clay Wendler [6:22 PM]:

Steven Godfrey [6:21 PM]:
@Nickel Rover I don’t see why not.
Steven Godfrey [6:21 PM]:
LSU has shown a lot of looks in the secondary today, and not to oversimplify, but there’s just not been a consistent pass rush
Ian Boyd [6:21 PM]:
If Georgia wins, does Aaron Murray enter the Heisman discussion?
Patrick Vint [6:21 PM]:
@runthedive eeeeee HOT SEAT WATCH
BullManUGA [6:21 PM]:
I don’t know if everyone noticed, but they moved most of the south to the PAC-12.
Peter Berkes [6:20 PM]:
Buffalo is going to hang 50 on UConn
Patrick Vint [6:20 PM]:
I haven’t seen someone torch LSU on trips right all go like that since Drew Tate.
Steven Godfrey [6:20 PM]:
Wow. Murray hits a wide open Bennett for the TD on 3rd and 11
Ian Boyd [6:20 PM]:
picked Colvin who was locked in on the receiver, Safety failed to switch and pick up TE
Peter Berkes [6:19 PM]:
Can’t believe Oklahoma lost a guy in coverage smh
Ian Boyd [6:19 PM]:
oh boy, Rees finds TE Niklas alone by the EZ, hits him for a TD
Rodger Sherman [6:18 PM]:
there’s no range of emotions quite like “oh, we’re punting WOAH THEY FUMBLED IT”
Steven Godfrey [6:18 PM]:
Sanford goes crazy, UGA has 1st and 10 on the 20. Momentum, some.
Mark Ennis [6:18 PM]:
Average score of your three matchups of top ten SEC teams in 2013: 39-33. And this one has another quarter to go.
— Mark Ennis (@Mengus22) September 28, 2013
Steven Godfrey [6:17 PM]:
Fumble on the punt, UGA recovers
Steven Godfrey [6:17 PM]:
Chris Conley can’t bring in that pass from Murray, but to be fair, he was being mounted.
Patrick Vint [6:16 PM]:
#IOWAFACTS
Patrick Vint [6:16 PM]:
In the last 12 years, Iowa has lost 3 times when it holds a two-possession lead at 10:00. They’re up 13 with 9:30 to go.
Ian Boyd [6:15 PM]:
They’ve avoided throwing at Colvin for the most part today
Ian Boyd [6:15 PM]:
ND finds Zach Sanchez in press coverage again. Kelly is a master at pairing routes to isolate weak spots
Ian Boyd [6:14 PM]:
Bell running back on the field, sufficiently juiced with fluids
Ian Boyd [6:13 PM]:
Big 3rd and 6 here for ND down 27-14
Jason Kirk [6:13 PM]:
| 3rd | 4:07 |
| LSU | 27 |
| Georgia | HOW WE GONNA PLAY SOUTH CAROLINA NOW |
Ryan Nanni [6:13 PM]:
Well that was a meaningful play. (sips beer)
Rodger Sherman [6:12 PM]:
What a ball by Mettenberger. 27-27.
Steven Godfrey [6:12 PM]:
Landry again, and Mettenberger slices through the blitz. I stand corrected.
Mark Ennis [6:12 PM]:
WOO THAT THROW
Steven Godfrey [6:12 PM]:
(loud)
Steven Godfrey [6:12 PM]:
So since LSU’s first touchdown on the safety blitz, Georgia has largely been able to blitz from everywhere and keep downfield coverage.
Ian Boyd [6:11 PM]:
Notre Dame still running and running over OU’s D. Kelly is really mad about those 3 INT’s right now
Rodger Sherman [6:11 PM]:
I think our explanation for UGA deep FG is that this is is the kid who got arrested for BUI.
Steven Godfrey [6:10 PM]:
Hm. I smelled a (bad) targeting call after that incompletion. Glad there wasn’t.
Charlie Gebow [6:10 PM]:
And Mike Stoops is still at his Mike Stoopsiest (pacing around with his hand on his hip.) Just need him to freak out over a five yard gain by Notre Dame to really complete the nostalgia train for Arizona fans
Clay Wendler [6:09 PM]:

Secretary of Balloon Doggies [6:09 PM]:
@Nickel Rover I read that as Sling Blade shoes at first
Ian Boyd [6:09 PM]:
@Mark Ennis, looks like most of the OU staff is mindful of supper time
Steven Godfrey [6:09 PM]:
OK, I’m kinda curious why Georgia keeps blitzing from the left.
Ian Boyd [6:08 PM]:
These spring blade shoes by Adidas are weirding me out
Jason Kirk [6:08 PM]:
jokastrength [6:06 PM]:
Better kicker than boater.
Steven Godfrey [6:06 PM]:
Yikes. That one rush on third down is the heart of #FireBobo, even though UGA is averaging 7.5 yards a play.
Ian Boyd [6:06 PM]:
I guess OU kicks the FG here with Bell hurt. 4th and 1 for goal
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [6:06 PM]:
college kickERS?
Ryan Nanni [6:06 PM]:
@Jason Kirk Well if Aaron Murray’s good, then it must not be a good game. LAWYER’D.
Rodger Sherman [6:06 PM]:
lol at Beckum just watching the kick go through sadly
Mark Ennis [6:06 PM]:
Haha, Josh Heupel hasn’t missed any meals.
Jason Kirk [6:04 PM]:
REMEMBER: Aaron Murray is no good in big games, so you’ve been led to believe.
Rodger Sherman [6:04 PM]:
so FSU just spotted BC those points to make it almost interesting, huh
Mark Ennis [6:04 PM]:
Seriously, the ESPN3 coverage of this UConn game is awesome. No idea the down and distance, the score, the time, nothing.
DougieNix [6:03 PM]:
What a throw and catch. Perfect on both ends
Steven Godfrey [6:03 PM]:
Murray, my word.
Mark Ennis [6:03 PM]:
No cheering in the pressbox. But bemoaning is fine.
Heard from back of press box on that last OU run: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
— JJ Stankevitz (@JJStankevitz) September 28, 2013
jokastrength [6:02 PM]:
fuck you too CBS for that replay.
Ian Boyd [6:02 PM]:
OU’s OL is now pushing Irish yards downfield. I think this one is in the bag for the Sooners
Steven Godfrey [6:02 PM]:
@Mark Ennis Now your Pandora is going to play Houston Astros games.
Mark Ennis [6:01 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey I’m a nominal Christian, so I guess I forgive him now. True story: he hasn’t spoken to Jurich once in the four years since he’s been gone.
Mark Ennis [6:01 PM]:
I would bet that I am the only person in America watching UConn/Buffalo on ESPN3
Steven Godfrey [6:01 PM]:
Hey Mark Ennis, I stood in line for hot dogs with KRAG1N1. He said hello.
Ian Boyd [6:00 PM]:
Immediately keeps on Zone read for about 30 yards
Ian Boyd [6:00 PM]:
In comes Knight
Mark Ennis [5:59 PM]:
Blake Bell is down for OU.
Ian Boyd [5:58 PM]:
The way Bell is chilling on the field sipping Gatorade makes me think he’ll be okay
Steven Godfrey [5:58 PM]:
The LSU FG is good. 24-20, Dawgs.
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [5:57 PM]:
CAM CAMERON
Steven Godfrey [5:57 PM]:
Mettenberger was way off target on that throw. Probably his worst pass today.
Charlie Gebow [5:57 PM]:
Belldozer is down
Ian Boyd [5:57 PM]:
QB draw by bell, hurt his ankle or something after getting a 1st down
Rodger Sherman [5:56 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey how did Bubba Watson hurt his arm?
Steven Godfrey [5:55 PM]:
A completely wasted bro in a Masters visor and his left arm in a sling has just sat down next to me in the press box. Let’s see where this goes.
Mark Ennis [5:55 PM]:
Because we haven’t seen it yet today.
Ryan Nanni [5:54 PM]:
I’m not saying Todd Grantham’s ever killed a man, but I am saying he’s killed several at once.
BullManUGA [5:52 PM]:
One of his commandments is a sin.
Ian Boyd [5:52 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey, you can’t hold down that Tiger run game forever I guess
Ian Boyd [5:52 PM]:
OU making good use of Corey Nelson on edge today but that leaves someone inexperienced at ILB trying to stop run
Steven Godfrey [5:52 PM]:
Jeremy Hill already has 32 yards on this drive. Half came on one rush, but that’s more than his whole first half.
Mark Ennis [5:52 PM]:
So, how does UNC go out and get blown out by East Carolina?
#UNC RB A.J. Blue said he could tell before the game "that certain guys knew they weren’t going to give it 100 percent out there today."
— Andrew Carter (@_andrewcarter) September 28, 2013
Rodger Sherman [5:51 PM]:
Guys, I think we're going to get a Les Miles Clock Management Special today.
— Chris Fuhrmeister (@ccfuhr) September 28, 2013
Ryan Nanni [5:51 PM]:
@jokastrength Marvin Lewis is really hard to move because of his atomic weight.
Jason Kirk [5:51 PM]:
NO. IT’S TWELVE COMMANDMENTS (with five total Ps).
Ian Boyd [5:51 PM]:
Just because the QB is running, doesn’t mean it’s a draw play. Much like how not all runs from the shotgun are draws
Mark Ennis [5:51 PM]:
Doeren’s 12 commandments are just 15 words.
jokastrength [5:51 PM]:
@Celebrity Hot Tub- what is more surprising- Jim Grobe still being at Wake, or Marvin Lewis still being in Cincinnati?
Ian Boyd [5:51 PM]:
Other than calling a Power-O play a “QB draw”
Ian Boyd [5:50 PM]:
Really good clip by the announcers there on how OU’s handled Nix
BullManUGA [5:50 PM]:
@Jason Kirk So that’s really 14 things, right?
Charlie Gebow [5:50 PM]:
@Jason Kirk Wouldn’t that be 14…?
Steven Godfrey [5:50 PM]:
Wait why is Pride not part of the P’s.
Jason Kirk [5:49 PM]:
via @akulawolf
Ian Boyd [5:49 PM]:
keeps OU <40
Rodger Sherman [5:49 PM]:
OU kicks a field goal. I’d rather not have to pay attention to that game with this good’n going on here.
Ryan Nanni [5:49 PM]:
Jim Grobe still is the coach at Wake Forest. That’s all.
Ian Boyd [5:49 PM]:
I hope Texas keeps OU s all I want. That and UT scoring double digit points
Mark Ennis [5:47 PM]:
Butch Jones is the most positive person I've ever met. Vols had a FG blocked, and he credited his guys for not giving up a TD on the return.
— Wes Rucker (@wesrucker247) September 28, 2013
Ian Boyd [5:46 PM]:
These empty backfield sets for OU are pretty nasty. You don’t really want to leave the box without defenders against the threat of a Bell run or scramble
Mark Ennis [5:46 PM]:
I just want to state for the record that I have no desire to have to play Jameis Winston next year.
Steven Godfrey [5:44 PM]:
It’s being classified as a sprain. Nothing on anything ligament related.
Ian Boyd [5:44 PM]:
Big drive by OU here, they need to keep scoring if ND’s figuring things out on offense
Ian Boyd [5:43 PM]:
Marshall<Gurley
Steven Godfrey [5:43 PM]:
And now he’s in a walking boot.
Ian Boyd [5:43 PM]:
wasn’t that targeting by the ND safety?
Ian Boyd [5:42 PM]:
their extra linebacker is generally someone less experienced
Ian Boyd [5:42 PM]:
OU struggling in non-nickel personnel groupings
Steven Godfrey [5:41 PM]:
Breaking: Overheard in the press box during halftime that Gurley’s likely for the second half. He was also jumping around celebrating after the last TD.
Ian Boyd [5:41 PM]:
OU replaces the mindless Roy Finch at kick return and immediately get a huge return
Jason Kirk [5:41 PM]:
Todd Gurley comes out in the second half wearing street clothes and boot on left foot
— Mark Schlabach (@Mark_Schlabach) September 28, 2013
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [5:41 PM]:
@Mark Ennis It could be a tie
Mark Ennis [5:40 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman Oh god, someone is going to win that game, too.
Rodger Sherman [5:40 PM]:
@Mark Ennis If they lose to USF, Pasqualoni shouldn’t leave the building with his job.
Ryan Nanni [5:38 PM]:
Either Bob Stoops or Brian Kelly is going to walk away today chapped as hell, and that is why college football is awesome.
Mark Ennis [5:38 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman I’m right there with you. They can’t keep Pasqualoni. Hell they probably can’t keep him another month.
Mark Ennis [5:37 PM]:
Wow Notre Dame with a huge touchdown run and this one is 21-14 now.
Ian Boyd [5:37 PM]:
OU opens in the 3-4 and immediately yields a TD on a run by Atkinson the 3rd of that name
Peter Berkes [5:37 PM]:
Well well well, Notre Dame, look at you!
Jason Kirk [5:37 PM]:
Steve Spurrier: "Hopefully in two weeks (Connor Shaw) will be back and ready to go. … It's like a sprained shoulder."
— Josh Kendall (@JoshatTheState) September 28, 2013
Rodger Sherman [5:37 PM]:
@Mark Ennis i’m looking at that UConn score…
Mark Ennis [5:34 PM]:
As we draw closer to midseason, who would you say is the first coach that will be fired this year?
Ian Boyd [5:34 PM]:
Nix back in, or “Irish Chocolate” to the announcers
Texpatriate [5:32 PM]:
No Texas Tribune bump, you guys. Spencer just told everyone to never visit here
Ian Boyd [5:32 PM]:
Nix not playing in this game for Notre Dame is worth another 7 points for OU
Mark Ennis [5:31 PM]:
Looks like Nix sorta jammed his knee on a tackle. Leaving the game in some pain.
Ian Boyd [5:30 PM]:
OU rarely loses to a team twice in a row. Almost never, I think
Ian Boyd [5:30 PM]:
Announcer quotes Stoops’ “revenge stats”
Clay Wendler [5:30 PM]:

Ryan Nanni [5:30 PM]:
BREAKING: Bob Stoops says 3rd downs important on offense and also defense; awaiting confirmation that water sustains life
Ian Boyd [5:29 PM]:
OU gets the ball first, mindless returner Roy Finch returns it to the 10
Texpatriate [5:29 PM]:
@Run Home Jack as did Rick Ross
jokastrength [5:29 PM]:
I am thinking of sending my wife to get us Popeyes.
Ryan Nanni [5:28 PM]:
@Texpatriate Rick Rubin canceled?
Mark Ennis [5:28 PM]:
Boston College opens the half by running the opening kickoff to the FSU 31 or so.
Ian Boyd [5:28 PM]:
I heard Mack Brown offered Winston as a punter
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [5:28 PM]:
Roy Rogers makes a fine roast beef
Texpatriate [5:27 PM]:
In the same room as Fearless Leader. He has the largest beard of anybody in attendance at this conference.
Clay Wendler [5:27 PM]:

Rodger Sherman [5:26 PM]:
Personally i had this dope-ass beef stew from the dominican place on my block, with a plate of rice and beans. I am college football.
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [5:25 PM]:
@Nickel Rover You’re assuming Cam Cameron knows how to tell when the defense is prepared for a run. You assume wrongly sirah
Rodger Sherman [5:25 PM]:
@Run Home Jack RUH
Rodger Sherman [5:25 PM]:
Doug Flutie rolling over in whatever non-grave setting he’s currently in over that Winston throw
Clay Wendler [5:24 PM]:

Ryan Nanni [5:24 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman I’m having leftover steak. Am I Rick Ross? THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW.
jokastrength [5:23 PM]:
Gotta go with the Lobster Bisque at publix
Ian Boyd [5:23 PM]:
I wonder if Cameron adjusts at halftime to punish Georgia’s loaded box or if Miles is saying “Just run it anyways”
Jason Kirk [5:23 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman This Publix crab soup was O VER RA TED.
Jason Kirk [5:22 PM]:
Ian Boyd [5:22 PM]:
I’m starving
Rodger Sherman [5:21 PM]:
HAAAAAALFTIME. Let’s talk about what we’re drinking and eating.
Steven Godfrey [5:21 PM]:
Here’s your funtime halftime stat: Todd Gurley: 73 yards, Keith Marshall: 70 yards, LSU Team Total Rushing: 13 yards.
Mark Ennis [5:21 PM]:
Soooooo, Miami QB Stephen Morris said USF players were trying to injure his ankle. Called them “ditrty”. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umiami/2013/09/canes-qb-stephen-morris-calls-usf-a-dirty-team.html
Ian Boyd [5:19 PM]:
Texas currently doing a great job withstanding the “surge” by Bye
Steven Godfrey [5:18 PM]:
LSU takes a knee. 24-17 UGA. Y’ALL DON’T GO ANYWHERE THIS COULD BE A GOOD’N.
Rodger Sherman [5:17 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey it’s tough to distinguish through the CBS broadcast. This is my only skill, so it’s embarrassing.
Mark Sandritter [5:17 PM]:
Brandin Cooks with 202 yards from scrimmage and 2 TDs with 12:03 left in the 3rd quarter
Steven Godfrey [5:16 PM]:
(Is this Chief Keef? Am unfamiliar)
Rodger Sherman [5:16 PM]:
Which Future song is UGA dancing to
Steven Godfrey [5:16 PM]:
UGA’s sideline is going bonkers.
Mark Ennis [5:16 PM]:
Georgia averaging 7.4 yards per carry, LSU 1.1.
— Adam Kramer (@KegsnEggs) September 28, 2013
Ian Boyd [5:16 PM]:
I mean, why do they have black pants? Looks awful
Steven Godfrey [5:16 PM]:
Georgia: 9 plays, 82 yards and 3:26. Murray’s scrambling pass for the first down deep in UGA territory stands out to me.
Ian Boyd [5:16 PM]:
@Mark Ennis black pants? Why?
Jason Kirk [5:16 PM]:
| 2 | :20 |
| LSU | SEC-appropriate 17 |
| Georgia | Who do y’all think you are 24 |
Mark Ennis [5:15 PM]:
Me? I thought you were never supposed to wear black and blue together.
Steven Godfrey [5:15 PM]:
Murray on the sneak, but you probably got that.
Ryan Nanni [5:15 PM]:
That was a massive drive by Georgia.
DougieNix [5:15 PM]:
Excellent drive by Georgia
Steven Godfrey [5:15 PM]:
TD UGA on the sneak
Mark Ennis [5:14 PM]:
Ok folks, let’s get an up or down vote on the uniforms Kentucky will wear in their inevitable heartbreaking loss to Florida tonight.
Steven Godfrey [5:14 PM]:
UGA OL is frantically trying to silence crowd.
Ian Boyd [5:13 PM]:
Ah, bad timing on my post…hadn’t seen that photo yet
DougieNix [5:13 PM]:
@Nickel Rover For so long I think he has had that shrinks from big games tag that national folks just haven’t paid attention.
Steven Godfrey [5:13 PM]:
More of a side suplex on the second look.
Steven Godfrey [5:13 PM]:
CLOTHESLINE IN ATHENS.
Ian Boyd [5:13 PM]:
Still, I like Murray
jokastrength [5:13 PM]:
@Ian Boyd- this picture:
Ian Boyd [5:13 PM]:
That’s unfair obviously, Brees is brilliant at so many things
Steven Godfrey [5:12 PM]:
@Nickel Rover There’s some stat-destroying asshole I hate in New Orleans who backs up your claim. #RISEUP
Ian Boyd [5:12 PM]:
So is Drew Brees
Jason Kirk [5:12 PM]:
Clowney: "I tell (other d-linemen) every play, ‘Y’all have to come off the ball harder than y’all are doing. Giving up too much time."
— Josh Kendall (@JoshatTheState) September 28, 2013
Mark Ennis [5:12 PM]:
@Nickel Rover bc he’s barely six feet tall.
Ian Boyd [5:12 PM]:
Would you rather have someone tall with a huge arm or a guy who always knows exactly what he’s doing?
Steven Godfrey [5:11 PM]:
Reggie Davis and a sneaky wheel-ish route.
Ian Boyd [5:11 PM]:
Again I ask, why does Murray not get more draft attention?
Steven Godfrey [5:11 PM]:
Murray on the PA has been awesome today.
Ian Boyd [5:10 PM]:
The way Murray ran their to draw the pressure and open up that passing lane…very nice
SWRT [5:10 PM]:
@Clay Wendler Loos less like the joker, more like Golddust impersonating the Joker.
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [5:10 PM]:
@Jason Kirk Well when you can emulate a winning tradition like the modern Oakland Raiders you kinda have to
Steven Godfrey [5:10 PM]:
Nice pass by Murray on the run to get the first down.
Jason Kirk [5:08 PM]:
Georgia fans are all about that Joker Raiders thing lately. I don’t know.
Rodger Sherman [5:07 PM]:
@Clay Wendler why
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [5:06 PM]:
FSU now up 7
Steven Godfrey [5:05 PM]:
LSU makes the field goal. 17-17!
Peter Berkes [5:05 PM]:
@Clay Wendler I’m confused
Ian Boyd [5:05 PM]:
Brian Kelly opts to knee the ball rather than have Rees throw deep on the OU secondary. Brian Kelly’s spirit is dead.
Clay Wendler [5:05 PM]:

Steven Godfrey [5:04 PM]:
So how do you reduce this game to a narrative? SEC defense hasn’t died, but SEC offense isn’t dead anymore. Does not fit easily into most talk radio segments….
Ryan Nanni [5:02 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey PHRASING
Steven Godfrey [5:02 PM]:
Georgia’s come primarily from the left side today.
Ian Boyd [5:02 PM]:
88 yards, 4:10 of game clock, several inside runs
Ryan Nanni [5:02 PM]:
It is so bizarre watching an LSU team that can’t run but is managing to throw just fine.
Ian Boyd [5:02 PM]:
That drive by OU was pretty bad for Irish morale
Steven Godfrey [5:02 PM]:
Mettenberger hits a big 17-yard pass on 3rd down, barely beating Georgia’s blitz.
Peter Berkes [5:02 PM]:
@Rodger Sherman They were hanging pretty well after those early cockups, but then Tommy Rees.
Rodger Sherman [5:01 PM]:
I’m thinking Notre Dame isn’t as good as Oklahoma.
Ian Boyd [5:00 PM]:
21-7 OU after Bell scrambles and finds someone called “scooba” in the end zone
Peter Berkes [5:00 PM]:
Mayock just chided a ND player for having “poor eye discipline” no stop it the draft isn’t for such a long time
Rodger Sherman [5:00 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey timeout lets him back in, right?
Peter Berkes [4:59 PM]:
Notre Dame’s secondary, just wandering aimlessly around the endzone
Steven Godfrey [4:59 PM]:
UGA loses DE Toby Johnson for this third down.
Ian Boyd [4:59 PM]:
Just…don’t you consider another option if the other team has a massive QB named Bell who might be about to run over your D
Mark Ennis [4:59 PM]:
Weirdest thing today: UConn’s official football account RTing the Buffalo tweet excited that they’re up 28-6 on UConn.
Ian Boyd [4:58 PM]:
3rd and 2, Notre Dame playing the bells again…ACDC
Steven Godfrey [4:58 PM]:
Jeremy Hill: 10 carries, 24 yards.
Jon Johnston [4:58 PM]:
Greg Davis is still at Iowa, but his nephew chose that play call for his birthday present.
Ian Boyd [4:57 PM]:
I’m not sure what that means but it made me laugh
Mark Ennis [4:57 PM]:
FSU has quickly tied things up with BC
Jason Kirk [4:57 PM]:
In a way, hasn’t Greg Davis always been at Iowa?
Ian Boyd [4:56 PM]:
Is Greg Davis still at Iowa?
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [4:56 PM]:
Gary Danielson has nothing but contempt for your “speed” and “fast play”
Steven Godfrey [4:56 PM]:
@Jason Kirk Some folks up here are positively unsettled about this development.
Ian Boyd [4:55 PM]:
@Rodger yeah but the announcer lauds the “football spirit” or whatever it is
Jon Johnston [4:55 PM]:
Iowa calls a SCREEN PLAY and scores easily. If the words “Iowa calls a screen play” appear three more times in human history, the world ends
Jason Kirk [4:55 PM]:
There is nothing more Georgia than people wondering where the fullback is. Like, Godfrey’s answering an actual question being widely asked.
Ian Boyd [4:55 PM]:
OU running up the gut now, mixing in QB runs with traditional zone stuff
Ryan Nanni [4:55 PM]:
POLL: What would have to be more heavily redacted? A) Whatever Brian Kelly is saying to Tommy Rees B) A Lil Kim album
Rodger Sherman [4:55 PM]:
@Nickel Rover isn’t it a penalty, too?
Ian Boyd [4:54 PM]:
If you put it on properly, it doesn’t come off…
Steven Godfrey [4:54 PM]:
So MIA for Georgia is fullback Quayvon Hicks. No word why, but I know I saw him on a kickoff. Merritt Hall had the block on Marshall’s big run.
Ian Boyd [4:54 PM]:
so tired of football players who play when the helmets come off lauded as heroes by the announcers
Ian Boyd [4:53 PM]:
Stoops is now pushing the nuclear option, frequent yeti runs between the tackles
Steven Godfrey [4:52 PM]:
Hm. Two inside runs for Georgia yield bupkis. Justin Scott Wesley drops a slant in the end zone. #SomethingBobo?
Rodger Sherman [4:50 PM]:
Wait: you guys are saying Tommy Rees is throwing interceptions?
Steven Godfrey [4:50 PM]:
A BIG gain by Keith Marshall puts them inside the 10. The UGA OL is owning that ass.
Ian Boyd [4:50 PM]:
Same situation
Ian Boyd [4:50 PM]:
And then an INT
Ian Boyd [4:49 PM]:
There’s the brilliance of Aaron Colvin there: OU’s other 2 deep pass defenders bracketing the other ND receivers
Steven Godfrey [4:49 PM]:
Announcement: Gurley “Injured left ankle, out for now.”
Ryan Nanni [4:49 PM]:
Tommy Rees with a perfect throw, but it’s dropped by the Oklahoma defender. Wait, what?
Ian Boyd [4:49 PM]:
Didn’t I say Craig Loston would be a big factor in LSU winning?
Clay Wendler [4:48 PM]:

Mark Ennis [4:48 PM]:
Do our SB Nation bros know how to troll Bud or what?
BC still winning. They must be holding a lot.
— Jake S (@BloggerSoDear) September 28, 2013
Ian Boyd [4:48 PM]:
For the 2nd straight year, ND looks bigger and stronger overall than OU. Doesn’t happen to the Sooners in B12 play too often
Steven Godfrey [4:47 PM]:
Gurley is walking! RUNNING! TROTTING! TO the locker room
Jason Kirk [4:47 PM]:
TODD
Ryan Nanni [4:46 PM]:
101 rushing yards for Georgia, 4 for LSU. That, um, is not promising, Les Miles.
Jason Kirk [4:46 PM]:
T.J. Gurley’s ankle the world’s most-examined joint right now.
Rodger Sherman [4:46 PM]:
@Mark Ennis if only Michigan played Purdue…
Steven Godfrey [4:46 PM]:
Keith Marshall runs AT defenders the way a wet dog wants hugs after getting out of the lake.
Ian Boyd [4:45 PM]:
OU needs to misdirect them in their run game some
Steven Godfrey [4:45 PM]:
OK, Gurley looked pretty good on the “obvious run” there.
Mark Ennis [4:45 PM]:
UConn-South Florida on Oct. 12 is shaping up to be a big one.
— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) September 28, 2013
Ian Boyd [4:45 PM]:
The announcers have pointed out, OU tends to like to run wherever sasquatch fullback, Trey Millard, is blocking
Mark Ennis [4:44 PM]:
Buffalo leads 28-6 in the second quarter. UConn is a steaming shit pile.
Ian Boyd [4:43 PM]:
Looks like Yeti missed a nice cutback lane
Peter Berkes [4:43 PM]:
@Mark Ennis This is an unexpected and completely welcome development
Ian Boyd [4:43 PM]:
OU lines up Yeti and Sasquatch in the backfield, Notre Dame stuffs it
Steven Godfrey [4:43 PM]:
Bubba Watson just surprised his wife by naming a womens’ basketball scholarship in her name. So Bubba Watson is crying again.
Mark Ennis [4:41 PM]:
Buffalo had 1st and goal from the 22 freaking yard line. They threw a TD pass.
Ryan Nanni [4:41 PM]:
Zach Mettenberger could not look less interested in leaving the pocket.
Ian Boyd [4:41 PM]:
Notre Dame is ringing bells on 4th and 1 for OU which is….ironic
Steven Godfrey [4:41 PM]:
UGA sacks Mettenberger on a big 3rd down.
Ian Boyd [4:40 PM]:
Good tackling by Notre Dame so far today, essential to their defensive philosophy of keeping the safeties 15 yards off the ball
Jon Johnston [4:39 PM]:
“Even if the tip of ball touches the ground I think it’s a legitimate interception” said an announcer.
Ian Boyd [4:38 PM]:
When OU can run the ball they have so much in the playbook that makes life easy on the QB
Steven Godfrey [4:38 PM]:
@Run Home Jack 8 of 11, two of the incompletions were tips at the line, one was a drop.
jokastrength [4:36 PM]:
Did anyone else think UGA fired Mark Fox?
Steven Godfrey [4:35 PM]:
The only time UGA fails to run effectively is when they line up in the I. Wait… have I been in Clarke County long enough to contract #FIREBOBO?
Rodger Sherman [4:35 PM]:
Ian Boyd [4:34 PM]:
makes a huge TFL on Notre Dame’s version of the Belldozer
Ryan Nanni [4:34 PM]:
Man, Aaron Murray is scary accurate today.
Jon Johnston [4:34 PM]:
Those bastards from Iowa lead Minnesota 10-0
Ian Boyd [4:34 PM]:
OU mixing LB Corey Nelson in some on the edge, where he showed tremendous potential as a sophomore 2 years ago
Jason Kirk [4:33 PM]:
Jameis Winston is 2/6. Should he be forced back upon the baseball team?
Steven Godfrey [4:33 PM]:
I keep trying to figure out what the “Biggest game left” for Clemson will be to go cover it, but I’m not sure there is one.
Ian Boyd [4:33 PM]:
Cam McDaniel lives in a world of delusion. Watches Peterson tape to remind himself how good a runner he, McDaniel, can be…
Ian Boyd [4:32 PM]:
OU’s 4 man DL not consistently standing up ND’s run game. And is someone hurt in the OU LB corp?
Mark Ennis [4:32 PM]:
Rushing Yards: #BC 106, #FloridaState 1. Score: 17-3 Eagles.
— Dari Nowkhah (@ESPNDari) September 28, 2013
Steven Godfrey [4:31 PM]:
UGA technically had only two linemen with their hands down on that blitz to end the LSU drive. Lots of bouncing around before the snap to hide what they’re doing.
Jason Kirk [4:30 PM]:
| 2nd | 11:19 |
| Florida State | 3 |
| #goacc | 17 |
Ian Boyd [4:30 PM]:
Notre Dame already has 88 rushing yards on OU
Peter Berkes [4:28 PM]:
21-6 BUFFALO, NOW INCLUDING YARDS
Ian Boyd [4:27 PM]:
Notre Dame is picking up OU’s blitzes now
Steven Godfrey [4:27 PM]:
Football thoughts – UGA is selling out to stop the run successfully (Hill: 7 carries, 13 yards) and LSU can’t find a pass rush on Murray, who’s been killing it with play-aciton.
Ian Boyd [4:26 PM]:
I think Cameron is a better fit for the more simple gameplanning at the college level
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [4:25 PM]:
I was happy to see Cam Cameron replaced by Jim Caldwell. Let’s not go nuts on his pedigree.
Steven Godfrey [4:25 PM]:
End of the 1st, 14-all. Both QBs are 15-20 combined for 210 yards and 4 TDs.
Ryan Nanni [4:25 PM]:
NIck Marshall is gonna throw for 300 on Georgia and it’s going to be HILARIOUS.
Jason Kirk [4:24 PM]:
Georgia's Aaron Murray with 101 passing yards in first quarter, passes Eric Zeier for 2nd most in Georgia history behind David Greene.
— Doug Mouton (@DMoutonWWL) September 28, 2013
Steven Godfrey [4:23 PM]:
The (open air) press box PA is saying something about Murray passing Eric Zeier in an all-time statistic, but I think it’s a good one.
Rodger Sherman [4:22 PM]:
Reminder: UConn lost to Towson. By several scores. At home.
Ian Boyd [4:22 PM]:
Stoops reaches for the button
Ryan Nanni [4:22 PM]:
Blake Bell’s passes look a lot better if you imagine he’s a fullback.
Steven Godfrey [4:22 PM]:
The UGA student section is so full I can see fans being asked to leave because they’re being pushed into the aisle. Way to college sports journalism, Wall Street Journal.
Mark Ennis [4:21 PM]:
This is everything you’ll ever need to know about UConn football right here
Buffalo 14, UConn 6. Buffalo has 1 yard of offense.
— John Silver (@JohnFSilver) September 28, 2013
Ian Boyd [4:21 PM]:
Bell’s been erratic throwing deep and outside the hashes though today
Ian Boyd [4:21 PM]:
If OU can run up the gut on Notre Dame like that this is going to be a blowout

Mark Ennis [4:20 PM]:
Also, BC leads FSU 14-3.
Peter Berkes [4:20 PM]:
Buffalo leads 14-3 over UConn and has one (1) yard of total offense.

Ryan Nanni [4:19 PM]:
You heard it right, Georgia fans: your success this year is thanks to JOE COX.

@Rodger Sherman Don’t tell them that.

Rodger Sherman [4:19 PM]:
i wish we could hear more about Zach Mettenberger’s past at LSU
Steven Godfrey [4:18 PM]:
@Jason Kirk So far he’s nailed it. Both quarterbacks are hitting passes they didn’t in previous seasons, against secondaries that aren’t loaded with NFL bound guys.
Ian Boyd [4:18 PM]:
Dangerous trade-off between playing guys there who want to make Sportscenter and people who will take a knee
Rodger Sherman [4:18 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey they had a top 10 draft pick!
Clay Wendler [4:18 PM]:

Ian Boyd [4:18 PM]:
OU’s Roy Finch just made a nifty move and managed an impressive run out to the…25 yard line
Steven Godfrey [4:17 PM]:
My real favorite fall tradition is lackluster in-stadium marketing for SEC basketball. “Hey, it’s Georgia basketball. It case it’s icy outside, we’re here.”
Patrick Vint [4:17 PM]:
Wow, that is…um…optomistic???
Ian Boyd [4:17 PM]:
Danger with putting speedsters on kick off returns with the new rules is that they often neglect the touchback

From earlier this week. Bill C. tried to tell y’all.

Great job to keep that foot in bounds.

Todd Gurley – even better running out of the spread.

Lotta dudeage happening at the moment
Ryan Nanni [4:12 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey What Would Jesus Ollie?
Peter Berkes [4:12 PM]:

Steven Godfrey [4:11 PM]:
Bubba Watson is on the UGA sidelines, dressed like the only skateboarder you’ve ever met with a side part and Chocos.
Ian Boyd [4:11 PM]:
Notre Dame working the run game now, could make this a ball game
Mark Ennis [4:10 PM]:
Hey guys, FSU is playing and that means Bud is mad about uncalled holding
Uncalled holding? Sure. Have to play through it. Refs in this conference are not going to do that to the lesser schools.

@Mark Ennis: No
Steven Godfrey [4:08 PM]:
Touchdown LSU. Tigers spread it out on 3rd and Goal. Boone grabs his second TD (Fantasy Sleeper! CLICK HERE)
Ian Boyd [4:08 PM]:
Notre Dame’s OL is bigger and tougher than B12 ones, too bad they didn’t try this before being down 14-0
Clay Wendler [4:08 PM]:

Mark Ennis [4:08 PM]:
God if LSU is going to be able to go empty and throw effectively can anyone beat them?
Steven Godfrey [4:07 PM]:
Georgia seems content to get beat in man coverage, just so long as Hill doesn’t break for yardage between the tackles.
Ian Boyd [4:07 PM]:
OU’s willingness to use 8 man fronts this year is a big deal for the B12. If you can’t beat them deep and make them pay, they’ll swarm you
Ryan Nanni [4:07 PM]:
This LSU offense will really start movin’ once they make Jim Caldwell the OC.
Ian Boyd [4:05 PM]:
I guess TCU is probably better
Ian Boyd [4:05 PM]:

Night and day drives for Georgia – Murray’s last three passes were a tipped INC, a WR confused on his route and a chubby gentleman takeaway on 3rd down.
bcutlerj [4:03 PM]:
Just what UGA didn’t need.
Ian Boyd [4:03 PM]:
They have a white dude they trot out there as well, not sure why. Maybe better mastery of the various blocking schemes
Ryan Nanni [4:03 PM]:
AHAHAHAHAHA
Steven Godfrey [4:03 PM]:
Murray picked off by Anthony Johnson at the line. LSU ball in UGA territory.
Mark Ennis [4:03 PM]:
FAT GUY INT
Ian Boyd [4:03 PM]:
Is that the white dude?
Steven Godfrey [4:02 PM]:
@Nickel Rover Merrit Hall was the blocker instead of Hicks, and Gurley got stuffed.
Ryan Nanni [4:02 PM]:
Very clever of LSU to figure out the whole “don’t let Aaron Murray just sit back there peacefully” thing.
Ian Boyd [4:02 PM]:
OU’s nuclear option in this game is to spread ’em wide and then run Bell up the gut. May not need to do that…
Ian Boyd [4:01 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey, how’s that?
Rodger Sherman [4:01 PM]:
is that bad
Steven Godfrey [4:01 PM]:

@Jason Kirk Mettenberger found that match-up on the blitz. Credit to him. The pocket dropped quickly on that drive but never really broke down.
Rodger Sherman [3:57 PM]:
WVU drills the long field goal to go up nine. Looking like game ’Eers.
Ian Boyd [3:57 PM]:

Jason Kirk [3:49 PM]:
CLASSIC WEST VIRGINIA DEFENSE
Steven Godfrey [3:48 PM]:
@Nickel Rover Can I frame that comment? (I got in-laws, yo)
Rodger Sherman [3:48 PM]:
J.W. Walsh waaayyyyyyyyyyyy overthrows his defender, and an ’Eers safety comes up with the pick. Gotta eat 3:24 of clock to get the upset.
Ian Boyd [3:48 PM]:
I still think they wear them down in the end
Ian Boyd [3:48 PM]:
LSU’s going to have to adjust to the crowd, I guess.

Jason Kirk [3:45 PM]:
Georgia pushing the tempo, cutting off a Gary Danielson thought, likely one about his disdain for tempo. (Note: I like Gary Danielson.)
Spencer Hall [3:44 PM]:

Secretary of Balloon Doggies [3:35 PM]:
@chuckycrater Obviously but what if all the returners stay away from the ball for some reason just like a normal punt?
Mark Ennis [3:35 PM]:
Oh man Oklahoma State missed on 90 yard TD pass.
Mark Ennis [3:35 PM]:
Pretty ugly year for the Big 12 so far. If OU and OSU both somehow lose today, woof.
Jason Kirk [3:34 PM]:
jokastrength [3:34 PM]:
@Roger Have you tried to catch Tavon?
Clay Wendler [3:34 PM]:

chuckycrater [3:34 PM]:
@Milk Steak Well, if the defense downs it, it’s a touchdown.
Rodger Sherman [3:33 PM]:
Is there a law against special teams in West Virginia? And if so how did Tavon Austin evade arrest for so long?
Spyder Mayhem [3:33 PM]:
@Steven Godfrey The narrator in the video reminds me of Craig from South Park. Keep expecting to hear “You guys took my birthday money, got me arrested and sent to Miami with no way home except to take down the country of Peru and I’m being a dick.”
Ryan Nanni [3:33 PM]:
What’s happening in Knoxville is positively Dooleyesque.
Secretary of Balloon Doggies [3:33 PM]:

@Rodger Sherman Cool! I was covering spring practice for the school newspaper. Believe it was going into the Rose Bowl season. Usually, when you hear of CFB coaches, they’re CEO types. But it was insane. Getting involved in 1-1 drills. Chewing out/encouraging scout team guys when they messed up. He was wearing a dri-fit shirt and kakhi pants. When we went to interview him after practice, his voice was completely gone, and had to whisper answers. His shirt and pants completely drenched in sweat. It basically looked like he fell in a pool. And it was the second day of spring practice. I asked him how he keeps things at that high of an intensity level every day. His answer: “I was actually pretty lax today.” The other writers mostly nodded in agreement. He also uses really funny non-curse words in lieu of swearing. Things like dag-nab bit, bud sadly I never heard a dad-gum.
