Clint Trickett headed back to the West Virginia locker room during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s crucial game against Oklahoma State with an apparent shoulder injury.
WVU QB Clint Trickett leaves game with shoulder injury
Trickett took a shot after chucking the ball deep down the field.

UPDATE: Trickett returned to the game on WVU’s next drive, but he is clearly dealing with a shoulder injury of some kind.
Trickett, who has a smaller frame and probably weighs about 165 pounds, took a big hit from an oncoming West Virginia lineman while releasing a deep ball down the field. He remained down momentarily and then stumbled to the sideline in clear pain.
The junior quarterback tested out his shoulder on the sidelines, but immediately winced in pain and hunched over after completing his throwing motion. He uttered a couple of choice expletives and then jogged off to the training room. After about five minutes, he came back on the sidelines without his helmet on and appeared to be loosening his injured shoulder. It is unclear if he will return to the game.
Trickett left the game with WVU holding a 24-21 lead over No. 11 Oklahoma State.
