Florida State erased a 17-3 second quarter deficit to take a 24-17 lead into the half on the arm of super freshman quarterback Jameis Winston, who threw all three Seminole TDs in that second frame.

Winston’s last score of the half came on a ridiculous play that nearly wasn’t; the snap came with one second left on a running clock, and Winston was nearly sacked before breaking free and finding receiver Kenny Shaw streaking downfield. Shaw was covered, but it was the last play of the half, sooooo...

That’s a remarkable touchdown, that’s a Florida State lead, and that’s a major bummer for Boston College, who watched a 14-point lead quickly evaporate and now has to cover a deficit against a vastly superior opponent in the second half.
