UPDATE: Bell is back on the field and looks fine.
Oklahoma’s Blake Bell briefly leaves game with apparent cramp
The Belldozer had to go into the shop for a few minutes to deal with cramps, but he’s back on the field for the Sooners.
The Oklahoma Sooners may be without quarterback Blake Bell for the rest of the day against Notre Dame, as he has left the game with what appears to be a cramp in his left leg. He left the field to go back to the locker room, and it's unclear whether he'll return today. With only one quarter and change remaining, he may not have time to recover.
Bell was replaced by Trevor Knight, who proceeded to uncork a long run on his first play. Bob Stoops didn't explicitly name a backup during the week, so Knight and Kendal Thompson both warmed up for a moment.
He wasn’t quite as great as he was against Tulsa, but Bell was playing well prior to the injury. He went 17-23 for 149 yards and a touchdown in the air, and rushed for 52 yards on 10 carries.
