The all-purpose Hurricanes back was sent to the sideline by a brutal lower-body tackle.
He spent some time on his hands and knees before being assisted off the field, where he spent the rest of Miami’s drive.
He appeared to have been hit in the groin.
It is not pleasant to look at.
You have been warned.
Johnson, Miami’s best player, was the 2012 ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year, with 171.7 all-purpose yards per game. In Week 1 against FAU, he compiled 224.
He has 61 yards on 18 touches against Florida (well below his average), including a 13-yard long.
