West Virginia linebacker Doug Rigg suffered what appeared to be a serious injury in the Mountaineers' Saturday night game against the Oklahoma Sooners. Rigg collided helmet-to-helmet with teammate Karl Joseph on a tackle, and remained motionless on the field after the contact.

The Mountaineers’ senior outside linebacker suffered what looks to be a serious injury after a helmet-to-helmet collision with a teammate.
Early reports suggest Rigg was knocked out cold, but he has been able to move his fingers and toes and will be transported to a hospital in Oklahoma City.

Rigg, a senior, was a starter at WILL linebacker each of the past two seasons before moving to SAM this spring. In 2012, he was the fifth-leading tackler on West Virginia’s team, recording 60 stops.
UPDATE: Rigg was seen walking late Saturday night, according to West Virginia football student manager Jakob Rinehart.
