Michigan-Notre Dame sets new American football attendance record

Michigan-Notre Dame replaces Michigan-Notre Dame as the most attended football game of all time.

Good news! Michigan-Notre Dame Saturday night set a record for attendance at Michigan Stadium, which in turn is a college football attendance record, and in turn, an American football record!

Congrats, Michigan-Notre Dame!

Our sincere condolences to the previous record-holders, who are now just in second place. Apologies to... (goes to google) (looks up attendance records) Michigan and Notre Dame from two years ago, with 114,804?

WE GET IT, MICHIGAN. YOU CAN FIT A LOT OF PEOPLE IN YOUR STADIUM. Seriously, your capacity is 109,901. Isn’t this unsafe, and how are all these people getting tickets? I’m more worried by your ticket sales policies and fire safety than I am impressed by your ability to once again fill a stadium with a lot of people for a very interesting football game.

This isn’t a historic rivalry, though.

No NFL game has ever had more than 105,121, so the amateurs are roughly 10,000 people better than the big boys. WOO COLLEGE FOOTBALL.
