Florida WR Latroy Pittman carted off the field with injury

The Gators have announced ‘everything checked out’ with the wide receiver.

Florida wide receiver Latroy Pittman suffered what appeared to be a serious injury in the Gators’ game against LSU Saturday, taking a big hit from linebacker Kwon Alexander over the middle and dropping to the ground.

Update, 10/12: Good news from the Gators:

Pittman was eventually carted off the field, showing movement in his arms. He received applause from the Florida crowd, and support from LSU players who came over to dap him up. He eventually gave the thumbs-up sign as he exited the field.

Pittman caught one pass for -2 yards on the day. Coming into the game he had recorded six catches for 37 yards on the season -- both career highs.

At the time of the injury, the two teams were tied 27-27 with 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter. The Tigers ended up hitting a game-winning field goal 19 seconds later.
