How to watch Arizona vs. Washington State: Game guide, TV/streaming, odds

Who will win the battle of two offensive masterminds?

As is true for many Pac-12 night games -- though this one absolutely would justify being the super late-night game, it isn’t -- Washington State-Arizona promises to have a lot of points. In fact, this game might feature the two most exciting (read: exciting, not best) offenses in the Pac-12, as Mike Leach’s air raid and Rich Rodriguez’s spread square off.

It has been an interesting year for both of these teams. Washington State is certainly improving as a program, but the Cougars got off to a slow start this year and may struggle to become bowl-eligible. Meanwhile, Arizona started the Pac-12 season in a big way, with an exciting win over Cal and a upset of Oregon in Eugene, but fell to USC to avoid taking control of the Pac-12 South.

Arizona should win this game, but with Washington State’s fireworks, it could get interesting.

How to watch, listen, and stream

Game time: 6 p.m. ET

TV: Pac-12 Network

Radio: Washington State IMG Sports Network, Arizona IMG Sports Network

Online streaming: Pac-12 Live

The numbers

Rankings and records: Arizona is 5-1 and ranked 15th in both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll. Washington State is 2-5 and unranked.

Vegas: Arizona opened as a 4-point favorite, but the spread is now 2.5. The over/under is 73.5.

Weather forecast: Partly cloudy with a high of 66 and a low of 44.

Two things at stake

Is Arizona a true contender in the Pac-12 South? If so, it can’t lose this game.

Washington State is probably not going bowling this year, but a win here might revive some hope.

One big matchup

Washington State defense vs. Arizona offense: There are going to be a lot of points in this game, and it's likely that neither defense is going to have its best game of the year. However, Washington State's defense has much less margin for error than Arizona's. The Wildcats have a real freshman sensation in Anu Solomon, and he has the potential to run and pass all over the suspect Wazzu secondary. Nobody expects the Cougars to completely stop Arizona, and their offense should be able to put up enough points to stay in this one. But the defense is going to have to step up for Wazzu to come away with the upset win.
