Here’s what we know about the Pac-12 South race: Colorado’s out of it. And that’s about it.
How to watch USC vs. Utah: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming and more
Who’s taking charge in the wide-open Pac-12 South?

Two of the division’s serious contenders lock horns on Saturday night in Salt Lake City as No. 20 USC visits No. 19 Utah. USC and Utah are both looking for their sixth win and bowl eligibility, but with five Pac-12 South teams stuck at one conference loss, there’s some serious jockeying for position to be done here.
Keep an eye on QB Cody Kessler as he tries to follow up on his sensational 7-TD performance against Colorado last week, while Utah continues its tightrope act—the average margin of its three Pac-12 games is just three points, and if we’re only talking regulation it’s down to one point per game. Do we have another nailbiter waiting in the Beehive State?

The numbers
Rankings and records: USC comes into the game at 5-2 (4-1), good enough for a No. 20 ranking in the AP, while Utah is one spot higher in the polls and 5-1 (2-1) thus far on the year.
Vegas: This one opened as a toss-up and you won’t see a line of more than a point in either direction.
Weather forecast: We’re looking at low 60s and dry under the lights at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Two things at stake
Someone’s getting a Top 20 win out of this game, which means someone’s getting a substantial boost in the polls come Monday. Past that, the loser’s going to be facing an awfully tough road to the Pac-12 South title from here on out.
If USC picks up the win, look for QB Cody Kessler to start picking up some Heisman steam. He’s at 18 TDs and one interception coming into the game, and his passing efficiency is 10th-best in the nation. If USC starts making national noise and Kessler’s stats keep pace, voters will notice.
One big matchup
Javorius Allen vs. Utah front seven: Utah's defense isn't all-world, but its rush defense is more than capable, allowing just 114.2 yards per game at a stingy 2.84 yards per carry. It'll be up to the Trojans' offensive line to spring holes for its explosive tailback Javorius Allen, who's got over 900 yards to his name and can break big plays. Something's gotta (and gonna) give here.
