Last week, NC State was close to pulling off the upset against Florida State, but in the end, the defense couldn’t hold up. It was an incredible 41-point performance for the Wolfpack’s offense against a bluechip-filled FSU defense, and it was a particularly impressive day from Jacoby Brissett, who threw for 349 yards and 3 touchdowns in the loss. But can the Wolfpack sustain the momentum of the near-win, or did the loss suck out all of their energy.
How to watch NC State vs. Clemson: Game guide, TV/streaming, odds
Can NC State play well against an ACC contender for the second straight week?

Things don’t get any easier this week, as they visit another top ACC team in Clemson. The Tigers have been inconsistent at times this year, but they nearly took down Florida State (albeit, an FSU team without Jameis Winston) and should come out of this game with a win.
But with the way NC State has showed its potential on offense, the Textile Bowl can’t have Clemson fans feeling all that great, and this game has the potential to change a lot in the ACC.

Two things at stake
Clemson needs to win this game to still have a shot at winning its division.
A win in this game would announce to the ACC that NC State is for real, and that Dave Doeren’s teams will be factors in the league in the future.
One big matchup
NC State offense vs. Clemson defense: NC State proved last week that it is going to have a good offense this year. Brissett was very impressive against FSU, and Clemson needs to be weary of him heading into Saturday. But while NC State has the 27th most efficient offense in the country, Clemson has the ninth most efficient defense, and this will be the best defense the Wolfpack have seen this season. The Tigers’ offense might not be able to keep up if NC State can perform like it did against FSU.
