Can Brady Hoke right the ship at Michigan? He has been given ample opportunity to do so, and will get an easier test Saturday when the Michigan Wolverines host the Indiana Hoosiers.

Can the Wolverines get back in the win column in Big Ten play?
Playing against supposedly weaker Big Ten teams hasn’t guaranteed wins for the Wolverines so far this season -- they dropped a home game to Minnesota and a road game to Rutgers to start out conference play, then got dominated by in-state rival Michigan State last week. The team’s lone Big Ten win this season came in a close one against Penn State, and Brady Hoke desperately needs another one here to hold on to his job for at least one more week (even if no discussions have taken place).
Indiana’s defense has struggled this season, but that may not be a problem against a putrid Michigan offense averaging 20.4 points per game. The Wolverines’ only win against a major conference opponent was a defensive slugfest, and that’s not exactly a game the Hoosiers find themselves in often (they’re scoring 30.1 points per game). Michigan has a much tougher Indiana task on its hands than in most years, and the Wolverines will need to improve their play in order to get a victory.

Two things at stake
It’s hard to imagine Brady Hoke lasting more than 24 hours after a loss to Indiana.
Indiana has a shot at breaking its 18-game skid against the Wolverines.
One big matchup
Tevin Coleman vs. Michigan defense. Michigan's ability to win this game may hinge on its ability to stop Coleman. The junior running back leads the nation with 170.3 rushing yards per game, averaging 8.8 yards per carry with 11 touchdowns so far this season. The Wolverines have done well against the run this season, giving up 3.1 yards per carry with only three games where the opponent topped 100 rushing yards.
