The Texas A&M Aggies escaped -- and I do mean escaped -- against the UL-Monroe Warhawks on Saturday, 21-16. The Aggies looked out of sorts all day, and appeared to be actively trying to give the Warhawks a chance to win the game near the end.
Texas A&M follows Bama shutout by trying to lose to ULM
A&M’s first win in over a month doesn’t feel like much of a win at all.

A&M got the ball on their own 22 yard line with 6:48 left to play, and all they needed to do was grind off time and get another score if they could. The drive started with eight straight runs, but once the Aggies crossed into ULM territory, they called three consecutive passes, including one that was nearly intercepted. Thankfully for the A&M faithful, their defense was able to hold on the next drive, but it was a bizarre turn of events in a season that’s quickly hit the skids for the Aggies.
With a bye week coming right after their 59-0 humiliation at the hands of Alabama, you would've thought that the Aggies would come out fast against the Warhawks and light the place up. However, former super-recruit Kyle Allen went 13-28 through the air, and they only compiled 243 yards of total offense. It's certainly possibly they got caught looking ahead to a trip to Auburn next weekend, but they can't be feeling good about their current form ahead of such a tough game.
