Best of ‘College GameDay’ from Harvard: Yale diplomas and science

Harvard would like you to know that Harvard is very smart, and Yale is not very smart.

For the first time in its history, ESPN’s College GameDay went to Boston for the Harvard-Yale rivalry.

It was one of those weeks in which a commentator like Kirk Herbstreit praises the participants in this rivalry for representing “the true meaning of student-athletes.” That’s an applause line that gracious guests will never question. The implication is that the players who jockey for draft position and receive outside attention are not playing for the right reasons. But whether a player plays for the right reasons or not isn’t determined by whether that player’s on scholarship.

Anyway, onto the signs.

Two strong, strong signs here.

Hang on. Yale’s got a quarterback whose name is “Rich”? Isn’t that a little too... on the nose?
