Nebraska's chance to come back and beat Minnesota died in bizarre fashion. Tommy Armstrong appeared to hit Demornay Pierson-El and he was heading into the end zone, but Briean Boddy-Calhoun stripped the ball away before he could cross the plane.

Even if Pierson-El had been able to hold onto the ball, he had stepped out of bounds and would’ve been guilty of illegal touching, but it’s a brutal ending to Nebraska’s comeback attempt. The No. 25 Gophers took down the No. 23 Huskers 28-24 as a result.
