The FBS regular season is still wrapping up, but the FCS postseason has officially started. Eight first round playoff games kick off Saturday, all available for live streaming on ESPN3, with a number of sleeper title contenders taking to the field.
How to watch the 2014 FCS playoffs’ first round live online
From noon to the end of the night, eight opening round games take place Saturday. Yes, you can watch them all.
The two big matchups Saturday might be South Dakota State-Montana State and Southeastern Louisiana-Sam Houston State. SDSU has a star running back in Zach Jenner, who has rushed for over 6,000 yards in his FCS career. He’s 396 yards shy of the all-time FCS record, and could set that mark in this postseason if the Jackrabbits put together good performances against Montana State and North Dakota State, who awaits the winner in the second round.
The SE Louisiana-SHSU game is another interesting one, in large part because they are Southland Conference rivals who did not play in the regular season this year. Either could pose a tough matchup for No. 3 Jacksonville State in the second round, but Sam Houston State holds the home-field advantage.
