Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty will not return to Baylor's game with Texas Tech, as he's suffering with what's being described as a "mild concussion."

Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty will not return (mild concussion). Bears in trouble. Tech within 45-40 with 8:13 left.
— Kate Hairopoulos (@khairopoulos) November 30, 2014 Seth Russell is in the game in place of Petty. Russell saw a decent amount of game action early in the season, mostly in mop up duty.
Petty was injured late against the Red Raiders when he took a helmet to helmet hit from linebacker Sam Eguavoen. The hit resulted in a personal foul call. His final line for the day was 18-25 for 210 yards and two touchdowns. There’s no word on his status for the Dec. 6th showdown against Kansas State.
Describing a concussion as “mild” is a bit dubious, but it’s impossible to say how he’ll react in the week coming up. If he can’t go against Kansas State, it will be a major loss for the Bears.
