Boise State vs. Arizona Fiesta Bowl betting odds guide and prediction

Boise State and Arizona both look to cap off strong regular seasons with a win in the Fiesta Bowl.

The Arizona Wildcats are 10-3 straight-up in their last 13 games as the betting favorite but are just 4-9 against the spread over that stretch. Arizona will be looking for the win and the cover in the Fiesta Bowl on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Arizona is a 3-point favorite according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Taking Boise State's struggles as an underdog and Arizona's habit of finding ways to win into account, the Wildcats should be able to cover this small spread.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: Boise State 30.6, Arizona 37.6

Before losing to Oregon, 51-13, in the Pac-12 Championship Game, Arizona was playing some of its best football of the season. The Wildcats entered that game on a four-game winning streak and were 2-0 ATS in the last two games of that streak with strong wins over Arizona State and Oregon. Rarely short on excitement, six of Arizona's 10 wins this season came by a touchdown or less. Anu Solomon had his worst game of the season against Oregon and will try to bounce back in the Fiesta Bowl. The Wildcats are 5-2 SU over their last seven bowl games.

The Broncos did what they could with a soft schedule, losing only once as a favorite and finishing the season with an 11-2 SU and 7-6 ATS record. Jay Ajayi was the star of the offense, rushing for 1,689 yards and 25 touchdowns this season on 325 carries. The Broncos have historically risen up for big games, but that hasn't been the case of late, owning an 0-6 SU and 2-4 ATS record in their last four games as an underdog.

The total is set at 68 points at the sportsbooks. The OVER is 7-1 in Boise State's last eight games according to the OddsShark College Football Database, and 2-0 over Arizona's last two bowl games.

This should be a great game as both teams try to cap off their seasons with a bowl win. Arizona should be able to get the job done as a 3-point favorite, but their propensity towards close games points to an exciting showdown in the desert.
