The TCU Horned Frogs have made their complete case to the College Football Playoff selection committee, finishing their regular season with an emphatic 55-3 win over Iowa State. They finish their regular season at 11-1, and earned a share of the Big 12 conference title.

The Frogs put an exclamation point on their regular season with a blowout win over the Cyclones.
The Frogs looked fine early, but weren't able to really open things up until they put up 31 points in the third quarter. However, at no point did it ever feel like they weren't going to win comfortably. Trevone Boykin threw for 460 yards and four touchdowns and also caught a touchdown pass before getting pulled early in the fourth quarter. Josh Doctson had 151 receiving yards and a touchdown on nine receptions, and Aaron Green had 171 total yards and two total touchdowns.
If nebulous discussions of “game control” will be had today, let it be said that TCU controlled theirs.
The Horned Frogs will end the regular season with two wins over ranked teams (Oklahoma and Kansas State), and has a “quality loss” in their 61-58 loss at Baylor. Combine that with an existing No. 3 ranking in the Playoff rankings, and the Frogs have to like their chances of remaining in the four team field come Tuesday night.
However, it’s not a sure thing that the Frogs will stay where they are in the field. Their fate could be affected by the outcomes in the Big Ten and ACC title games, and especially by what transpires between Baylor and Kansas State. Losses from Ohio State, Florida State, and Baylor would go a long way towards ensuring TCU’s place in the top four, especially from Baylor, who holds the head-to-head advantage over the Frogs. Just one loss from those three teams would almost certainly clinch a Playoff berth.
