Alabama, Oregon each favored by more than a touchdown in Playoff

Florida State has pulled out close win after close win all year long, and it’ll need to beat Vegas to win its second title in a row.

The College Football Playoff matchups were announced Sunday afternoon, and opening gambling lines showed up immediately after. SEC champion Alabama is set to do battle with Big Ten champion Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl, while Pac-12 champ Oregon faces defending national champion Florida State in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl.

Alabama and Oregon are currently pegged as big favorites in their respective semifinals.

Alabama has won eight games in a row, including their SEC championship victory over Missouri Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide are the overall favorite to win the national title as well. And despite winning the ACC and being the defending national champions, Florida State has the worst odds to claim the title in the first year of the College Football Playoff.
