Wisconsin’s Konrad Zagzebski carted off after nasty collision

The backup redshirt senior defensive end showed movement in his legs while being stabilized by trainers.

Wisconsin Badgers defensive end Konrad Zagzebski suffered an upper-body injury during Saturday night's game against LSU in Arlington. He appeared to be struck in the head during a play in the first quarter.

He was boarded onto a cart by trainers and removed from the field, but moved his legs while on the ground and gave the crowd a thumbs up. Players from both teams kneeled in silence as he remained on the turf.

According to ESPN, he was taken to a nearby hospital with his father “for precautionary reasons.”

Zagzebski has appeared in 30 games during his time in Madison, recording 25 tackles. According to his school bio, the Weston, Wis. native and his sister founded Athletes with a Heart, a non-profit organization meant to help people in need.
