Last week a thunderstorm forced the Florida Gators to cancelheir game against Idaho (don't worry, the great Gator-Vandal rivalry picks back up in 2017) and forego what would have likely been an easy mark in the win column. Surely, Mother Nature would not be so cruel as to subject Gainesville to inclement weather for a second consecutive week ... right?
Chart says EMU-Florida game has a 60 percent chance of lightning
Uh-oh.

— WRUF Weather (@WRUFWeather) September 6, 2014 Florida and Eastern Michigan are scheduled for a 4 p.m. kickoff, at which time WRUF projects a 60 percent chance of lightning and a 70 percent chance of rain. The chance of showers goes down over the course of the evening but weather looks like it has a chance to be a factor at least through 10 p.m.
Because the Gators are set to kick off three hours earlier than last week, it’s much more likely that this game will actually get played. But just in case things get weird, it might be worth brushing up on the weather delay rules.
