The most exciting play of practically any day in college football is usually a wheel route. Add a hulking fullback and the potential of a touchdown, and that play goes from exciting to the stuff of legends.
Michigan State fullback races down field for 74-yard reception
Rumble, young man, rumble.
Michigan State fullback Trevon Pendleton got the first thing for sure, and nearly made both of them happen.
Pendleton's rumble — he's 6'0, 250 pounds — covered 74 yards. He was denied the 75th, and his first touchdown since 2013, by virtue of a knee that appeared to come down slightly before the ball crossed the plane. The Spartans punched in the ball on the next play with a 1-yard LJ Scott run.
But we will remember you, Trevon Pendleton.
