If you don’t like bowl games, check out now. You thought there were too many bowls before? Well, here come four more. The AAC-Sun Belt Cure Bowl in Orlando was a long-expected thing, but ESPN’s Brett McMurphy reports two more rumored ones -- AAC vs. Sun Belt in Austin, Texas and MWC vs. C-USA in Tucson, Arizona -- are coming as well. That’s 42 bowls.
3 new bowl games mean 84 of 128 college football teams will go bowling
Good morning! It’s your daily roundup of college football stuff.

Wait, will they really play a mid-major bowl game in the Texas Longhorns’ 100,000-seat stadium? Surely they’ll just put it in some 25,000-seat high school stadium? The big one it is, says McMurphy.
But are we done adding bowls? Well, other destinations that have been chattered about over the years include Little Rock, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Australia ... so no, we’re not done yet.
From crootin’ to draftin’. While it’s true that high school sleepers can turn into college superstars -- hello, Marcus Mariota -- they are the exception. Blue chip recruits have a much better chance at getting drafted, and they go higher on average.
The average five-star recruit’s draft position in 2015 was 77.79, which is far better than the average position of 164.3 for two-star and unrated high school players.
Speaking of draft picks: Florida had eight players selected, including six from the offensive side. So why has the Gators’ attack been so bad?
Florida, which finished 96th in total offense last year, had 6 offensive players drafted, more than any Spurrier/Zook/Meyer year.
— Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) May 3, 2015 Memphis rising. The Tigers were one of the nation’s worst programs just a few years ago, but they’ve rapidly improved and won 10 games and a share of the AAC title. What’s next? Despite some losses, Bill C. says a potential appearance in the first AAC title game isn’t out of reach.
But don’t forget about defending co-champ Cincinnati. Now that he’s worked his way through the entire AAC preview series, Bill C. likes Cincinnati as the conference favorite going into 2015, but it’s a close call.
Big 12 title game or nah? After it sounded clear the Big 12 was going to make a rash decision and add a conference championship, brakes are now being pumped.
Fast offense, bad defense? That’s the general consensus around the country, but Clemson is proving it doesn’t have to be true (even if the Tigers have slowed down a bit).

New-look Deacs. Wake Forest hasn’t given fans much to cheer about in recent years, but at least the Demon Deacons will look sharp this season.
