TCU’s AD has best possible advice on Big 12 drama and everything else in life

This is a good quote and a good perspective on the official offseason freakout of 2015 (you didn’t have what it takes to last us through August, Big Ten-SEC satellite camps thing): Big 12 expansion.

While it was a topic once Baylor and TCU were shockingly left out of the Playoff despite winning fewer games than Ohio State, it’s ramped up in the last week or so. Absolutely, we write about it every day here at SB Nation, but we strive to do so with sanity.

But seriously. Look how much more rational Del Conte appears than everyone calling for the Big 12 to EXPAND OR DIE AND/OR NEVER MAKE THE PLAYOFF, ONE OF WHICH WOULD BE WORSE, PROBABLY.

Chris Del Conte, how worried are you about the state of the Big 12?

Do you think a team from your conference will make the Playoff soon enough?

Should the conference add two teams immediately, like mayb-

The Big 12 needs a title game, though, right? The old Big 12 championship game only ruined, like, SEVERAL previous Big 12 national title attempts.

BUT IF THE BIG 12 ADDS MEMPHIS AND UCONN, MAYBE TEXAS WON’T WANT TO GO HANG OUT IN CHINA WITH USC.

Mr. Del Conte, your school just joined the Big 12. Do you worry that your chill will wane as you spend more time around these people?

Is a one-year sample size too much data? We should’ve been making giant proclamations about the big new Playoff thing just a few days into the 2014 season, right?
