On the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 20, a one-car accident on a Mississippi state highway claimed the life of former Alabama running back Altee Tenpenny. He was just 20 years old.
Altee Tenpenny still on the hearts of former Bama teammates 3 months after passing
Derrick Henry, others have not forgotten their fallen teammate.

Although Tenpenny’s career in Tuscaloosa, his impact on his teammates remains.
“He told me to go win the Heisman,” said Alabama tailback Derrick Henry. “He said you can go do it, I believe in you.”
A four-star recruit in Alabama's No. 1 recruiting class in 2013, Tenpenny was the subject of a heated recruiting battle between the Tide and his home-state Arkansas Razorbacks. Tenpenny arrived in Bama in the same class as Henry, A'Shawn Robinson, Tim Williams and multiple other key members of the team that will take the field Monday in Arizona. And while Tenpenny may not be on the field with them, Clemson may feel his presence as much as any other Crimson Tide star.
