At least for now, Donald Trump is an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, and he has a jersey to prove it. Iowa walk-on tight end Peter Pekar reportedly encouraged the crowd at an Iowa City event to vote for Trump and held up a Trump jersey.

A number of other Iowa players, including star quarterback C.J. Beathard, joined Trump on stage at the event.
Iowa athletic director Gary Barta said that no NCAA violations took place, and the jersey Pekar gave Trump was not an official Iowa jersey, nor was it given to him by the university.

Trump joins fellow candidate Carly Fiorina as an Iowa fan. Fiorina notably tweeted that she would be cheering for the Hawkeyes against her alma mater, Stanford, in the Rose Bowl.
