The Penn Quakers beat the Harvard Crimson on Friday night, 27-14. But the game was actually a 14-14 tie until 15 seconds left, when Penn scored a winning touchdown and then added some last-second insurance (more on this below) to seal the game. It’s a good win for Penn. Good for the Quakers.
2 Penn linemen scored TDs in 1 game. QUAKERS WANT THAT PIESMAN.
Don’t forget about the Quakers this Piesman season.

But that’s not why we’re here. We’re here because Penn had two defensive linemen score touchdowns in one game, giving the Quakers two nominees for the Piesman Trophy in one fell swoop. Let’s get right to the candidates.
Defensive end Louis Vecchio had a 40-yard interception return touchdown in the first half, giving the Quakers their first points of the game:

Later, Penn took a lead with 15 seconds left. Harvard apparently tried to run some sort of hook-and-ladder play to get down the field for the tie, but that didn’t work. DE Taylor Hendrickson took the ball and romped 18 yards for an exclamation-point TD:
Vecchio is listed at 6’5 and 250 pounds, Hendrickson at 6’3, 260. They aren’t hulking tackles or anything, but they’re both linemen, and they both got downfield with impressive expediency. Congrats to them on their joint nomination.
