Oh boy, we’ve got some chippiness in Morgantown, folks. Before Oklahoma and West Virginia kicked off on Saturday night, the two teams met on the field at the WVU logo and exchanged, well, some pregame pleasantries. This almost-scuffle was started when OU players gathered on top of the WVU logo, and the Mountaineers then rushed over to defend it.
Oklahoma and WVU got into a pregame scuffle over the midfield-logo territory
Yeah, this game’s gonna be good.

This is a pretty important game, to say the least. If the Sooners get the win over the Mountaineers and Oklahoma State next week, they will clinch the Big 12 title, which would stake a claim for a College Football Playoff bid. If WVU wins, both teams could end up with a share of the conference title.
Oklahoma has already been involved in some pregame activities such as these during this season. In fact, before last week’s OU game against Baylor, the two teams got into it on the field in the end zone.
West Virginia got themselves in a similar situation before their game against Texas last week, too.
Tensions are obviously running high before a big game like this, so luckily there wasn’t anything major that happened on the field during this, which obviously was a definite possibility.
