It was a little better the year prior, when it included a Florida team, USF, and Western Kentucky, an opponent very slightly nearer than Tulsa or CMU.

... yeah, that’s a brawl. It was a pretty wild brawl.
Anyway, not many people go to the Miami Beach Bowl. That’s fine.
