In the first quarter of the Orange Bowl, Florida State’s offense was driving, and held a 7-3 lead. But on the Noles’ second drive of the night, quarterback Deondre Francois took a big hit by Michigan’s Taco Charlton.
FSU’s Deondre Francois bounces back from huge hit, throws 92-yard TD pass
Yeah, he’s fine.

The hit was big enough that Francois had to exit the game, and backup Sean Maguire came off the bench for the redshirt freshman. Francois came back for Florida State’s next series, and a few plays later, he threw this beautiful 92-yard touchdown bomb.
The throw marked the longest touchdown pass in Orange Bowl history. Francois has been hit hard before — in FSU’s opener against Ole Miss, he took a huge hit after throwing this touchdown pass.
Kudos to Francois for playing so well after taking some huge tackles.
