Ken Starr needs to shut the f*** up

Disgraced former Baylor president and chancellor Ken Starr is doing what disgraced former powerful people tend to do; he’s writing a book.

Speaking at a Texas Tribune Foundation event, Starr again gave his side of the Baylor sexual assault scandals that ended up causing his resignation from the highest office at the university in June. He defended former head coach Art Briles, who was fired after his coaching staff allegedly interfered in investigations.

He also asserted plausible deniability over a situation that happened under his watch.

And also reiterated that he wants a fuller version of the independent law firm’s investigation into Baylor released, which isn’t likely to happen, because that longer version no longer appears to exist.

He threw in an ounce of victim blaming as well.

Starr did well to face questions directly from an audience and not in a one-on-one interview situation, but with the tone-deaf responses he often offers we’re ready for Starr to just pipe down.
