Rose Parade 2017 map and route: How to catch all of Monday’s action

The Rose Bowl Parade is here and we have all the information you need to watch it.

The 128th running of the Rose Parade is set for Monday, Jan. 2. While typically held on the first of the year, the parade has a strict “no Sundays” rule, meaning every time the first of the year falls on a Sunday, the event gets pushed.

On Monday, the parade will get underway at 11 a.m. ET, a few hours before the Rose Bowl game between Penn State and USC at 5 p.m. The parade will be broadcast on ABC, NBC, HGTV, the Hallmark Channel and KTLA-5 locally, among other broadcasts. The primary way to watch online will be via ESPN3 through WatchESPN, though several of the other broadcasts will also feature their own live streams of the procession.

The Rose Parade will run the usual five-and-a-half-mile route beginning at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena, Calif. The parade will travel north on Orange Grove at less than three miles per hour, before turning east onto Colorado Boulevard.

The majority of those watching the parade will be situated on Colorado Boulevard. The parade will turn north onto Sierra Madre Boulevard and conclude at Villa Street. There are several places along the route to catch the action, and with over 50 road entrances blocked off for the event, getting around will be tough if you’re not interested in said parade.

The full list of floats and order of procession can be found in the official Rose Parade program right here. You can find a full map of the route below, via the Tournament of Roses website.

And finally, below is all the information you need to catch the action.
