On Friday the 13th, 2 top-10 college football teams lost as 3-score favorites. SpOoOoOoOky!
That means three of Week 7’s first four games ended with a favorite of at least 16 points losing.

That’s Syracuse head coach Dino Babers, delivering his latest replayable postgame speech after Syracuse shocked 24-point favorite No. 2 Clemson, 27-24. That was Friday’s first game!
That was Cal’s Ross Bowers delivering possibly the play of the week, along the way to Cal’s 16.5-point upset of No. 8 Washington State by the staggering score of 37-3. That was Friday’s other game! Friday was nuts!
These two results swung 27 and 50 points from their Vegas lines. And, you might’ve missed it, but back on Wednesday, South Alabama beat Troy (the team that just won at LSU) 19-8, despite being an 18-point ‘dog.
So no matter what happens on Saturday, this weekend’s already delivered on MADNESS.
With so many ranked teams playing unranked teams, this already shaped up to be a weekend full of upsets and/or valiant efforts by underdogs. Per S&P+, you should also watch out for the following on Saturday:

After a gentle September, college football is really barreling into October.
Counting Oklahoma, three Playoff contenders have fallen as massive favorites in two days of games, and there’s a great shot another joins on Saturday.
That means this is the annual point in the season when fans start whispering to each other about the ghosts of 2007 haunting us once again. I think it’s a great time to review just how incredibly bonkers that season was and hope we get just a little bit more of it on its 10-year birthday.
