Penn State beats Rutgers, then helps one of its coaches propose to his girlfriend

That’s a good Saturday!

Penn State had a heck of a Saturday.

First, the Nittany Lions overcame a slow start to clobber Rutgers, 35-6, improving their record to 8-2 on the year. That’s pretty good!

But what happened immediately after is much better.

They helped one of their coaches, Chance Sorrell, successfully propose to his girlfriend.

And another look:

Sorrell was a former Penn State football player whose career was cut short due to injuries. He’s now a current strength and conditioning intern with the program.

Normally, we recommend folks do not propose at football stadiums, unless, they, say, scored the game winning touchdown in the Fiesta Bowl to upset Oklahoma.

But if you can pull it off with the help of your football playing friends, surrounded by tens of thousands of excited fans, well, that’s not bad either.
