College football rankings, Week 12: Collecting 5 new top 25s in one place

College football’s Week 11 is in the books. It included then-No. 1 Georgia getting blown out at Auburn, No. 3 Notre Dame getting blown out at Miami, and No. 2 Miami narrowly avoiding its first loss of the season at Mississippi State.

Oklahoma destroyed TCU and came close to locking down a Big 12 Championship Game spot. (Also, Baker Mayfield probably won the Heisman.) Wisconsin’s defense smothered an Iowa that had dropped 55 on Ohio State seven days earlier. And speaking of the Buckeyes, they took out their frustrations on an overmatched Michigan State. Ohio State-Wisconsin is almost certainly your Big Ten title game matchup.

This post is a collection of Sunday top-25 rankings. Usual disclaimers apply: Computers measure things differently than people, and none of these really matters. The Playoff selection committee weighs in Tuesday night, and that’s the rankings release that has a bearing on the postseason picture. These polls — the AP Top 25, in particular — tend to be a barometer of how the playoff selectors might think. That ranking locks on Selection Sunday, Dec. 3, after conference championship games.
