Michigan players bemoan a spot not going in J.T. Barrett’s favor
It’s 13 months too late for Michigan fans though.


Barrett certainly looks like he got it across the line to gain, but who knows. This is a sport that’s still using two sticks and some chain to measure 10 yards when it has disposable income at both the college and pro level to do otherwise.
You may remember the last time Barrett was in a spot-related controversy. Some rivals at Michigan certainly do.
Barrett’s 2016 game-clinching run was the most impactful call of the whole season.
It prompted numerous fan conspiracy theories and was the reason Ohio State went to the College Football Playoff instead of Michigan earning a Big Ten title berth with a chance to go to the Playoff had they won.
The rivalry will never die and old wounds die hard. But The Spot will forever and always be Good.
