Potato Bowl 2017: Wyoming vs. Central Michigan location, date, and more
Date, time, location, team records, and more on this newly announced bowl game.

Where is the Potato Bowl, and how can I watch?
Stadium and city: Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Id.
Date and time: Dec. 22, 4 p.m. ET
TV and streaming: ESPN and WatchESPN
What should I know about the two teams in the Potato Bowl?
Wyoming (7-5, 5-3 in Mountain West)
The Cowboys are in a bowl game for the second year in a row, a feat they’ve now accomplished three times in program history. This year’s team was a lot different than the one that got to the Poinsettia Bowl last year. (RIP Poinsettia Bowl, by the way. It’s now defunct.)
The 2016 Pokes were built around their offense, and this year’s team was supposed to be, too, with quarterback Josh Allen drawing massive NFL draft hype before the season. But it turned out that this team’s strength was one of the best defenses in the Group of 5 conferences. That should keep Wyoming competitive in the bowl.

Central Michigan (8-4, 6-2 in MAC)
The Chippewas have quietly become a postseason mainstay, and they’re back again.
This is their fourth season in a row and fifth in six years to end in a bowl appearance. And if you look back further, the program’s only missed out three times since 2006, when Brian Kelly’s team won nine games before Kelly left for Cincinnati. John Bonamego’s three-for-three in bowl appearances, though he hasn’t won one yet. He gets another chance now.
