Bowl matchups were announced Sunday, and the Michigan Wolverines got a bid to the Outback Bowl against South Carolina. Michigan State fans were hoping to be chosen for that game, given Sparty’s superior record and head-to-head win. But the bowl chose the Wolverines, who have a strong fan base that travels well for bowl games.

On Monday, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh took to Twitter to respond to Dantonio’s comments:
Nor did it stop there.
Dantonio tweeted later in the day:
That’s a reference to his comments in his first year at Michigan State, before he beat Michigan eight times over the next decade.

As for the bowl snub, a few MSU fans attempted to start a #BoycottOutback hashtag on Twitter, which has since been hijacked by Michigan fans.
The Michigan fans’ usage of the hashtag is pretty great, to be honest.
