Alabama defensive lineman Raekwon Davis was reportedly hit in the leg by a stray bullet Saturday night.
Alabama DE Raekwon Davis suffers ‘minor’ gunshot wound
Davis is a projected starter on the Tide defensive line.

“The victim told investigators he was standing outside of Bar 17 when he heard several gunshots and realized he had been shot in the right leg,” Homicide Unit commander Capt. Gary Hood said. “The victim was uncooperative with investigators.”
Chandler Rome, who covers the Tide for The Anniston Star has more on the situation:
Davis is a projected starter who spent most of his freshman campaign last season playing behind Dalvin Tomlinson. Assuming Davis does indeed get healthy, he’ll bookend a fearsome defensive line with fellow DE Da’Shawn Hand.
The incident comes just a week ahead of what is the biggest season opener in the history of college football. The Tide will take on Florida State in Atlanta Sept. 2.
At the time of this writing it’s unclear whether Davis was released from the hospital.
