Oklahoma vs. Baylor 2017 live stream: Start time, TV schedule, and how to watch online

Oklahoma’s national title aspirations probably won’t take a hit against 2017 Baylor.

Baker Mayfield has emerged as one of the nation’s top Heisman Trophy candidates. On Saturday, he’ll get the chance to pad his stats against a Big 12 rival — for at least a few quarters.

The Oklahoma Sooners will travel to Waco to face the 0-3 Baylor Bears in what looks like a jagged mismatch in Week 4. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on FS1 (live stream).

Mayfield has thrown 10 touchdown passes this fall without a single interception. On Saturday, he’ll face a Baylor team that gave up 48 points to FCS Liberty. While the Bears may have been a thorn in the Sooners’ side as they rallied up the Big 12 standings over the past decade, Saturday’s game seems like it will lack the standard drama of this cross-state showdown.

Time, TV channel, and streaming info

  • Time: 6:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: McLane Stadium, Waco, Texas
  • TV: FS1
  • Streaming: Fox Sports GO
  • Odds: Oklahoma is favored by 27.5 points

Oklahoma at Baylor news:

The composition of Baylor’s losses is especially bad:

Week 1: 48-45 to FCS Liberty, which ran up almost 600 yards of offense and torched the Baylor defense so bad that we Yakety Sax’d a Liberty touchdown.

Week 2: 17-10 to UTSA, an in-state startup program that plays in Conference USA

Week 3: 34-20 to Duke, by which I mean the football team and not basketball or lacrosse

Those are some massive additions. Arnold is Baylor’s best corner. Sells should play significant minutes and start at safety. With Hasty out, Williams already impressive skillset is needed more than ever. And Feurbacher was Baylor’s only All-Big 12 selection by Pro Football Focus in week one.

It’s abundantly clear that OU’s victory in Columbus was the Big 12’s best OOC win, which quite honestly is good enough to give them the top spot by default. Short of beating the Oklahoma Sooners two months from now, what would teams such as Oklahoma State or TCU have to do to be seen as the top dog in the conference?

Oklahoma gets an unexpected easy week.

For the past five years, Oklahoma-Baylor has been appointment viewing. On Saturday, it’ll be a game you flash past on the ticker as the Sooners’ score rises like the numbers on a gas pump. The Sooners rank fourth in the FBS in total offense. The Bears rank 91st. Oklahoma is 20th in total defense despite having to face Ohio State. Baylor is 110th despite playing Liberty, San Antonio, and Duke. Baker Mayfield may be in for an early exit Saturday.

Oklahoma at Baylor prediction:

Oklahoma beat Ohio State. Baylor has lost to Liberty and UT-San Antonio. This one won’t be close — and it won’t be fun for the Bears.
