Georgia Bulldogs

The Bulldogs had a fantastic campaign in 2017 in which they went 13-2 SU and 10-4-1 ATS while averaging 35.4 points per game and 13.2 points allowed per game.

Despite losing major talent on both sides of the ball this offseason, Georgia has stormed out of the gate with a 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS start averaging 42.8 points per game on offense and allowing 13 points per game on defense

Kirby Smart seems to have elevated Georgia into a perennial contender like his old employer at Alabama, and a road win over LSU would help solidify that position.

Since November of 2016, Georgia owns a 14-2 SU and 10-5-1 ATS record in its last 16 games against SEC opponents per the OddsShark College Football Database.

LSU Tigers

This game was expected to be a battle between two top five teams before LSU lost 27-19 on the road to Florida, dropping eight spots in the AP Top 25 in the process.

While Georgia has seemingly taken that next step, LSU has finished each of its last six seasons with at least three losses. The Tigers are hoping this year can be different, but this three-game home stand against Georgia, Mississippi State and Alabama leaves little room for error. LSU is 3-3 SU and 4-1-1 ATS in its last six games as a home underdog.

Saturday’s total is set at 50.5 points. The OVER is 6-1 in the last seven games between LSU and Georgia.

With a win on Saturday, Georgia could enter its bye week undefeated and with four of its last five remaining games coming at home. Both of these teams have top-notch defenses, but Georgia’s clear edge on offense should give the Bulldogs the edge in this one.
