The Apple Cup went from a slushy mess to a snowy whiteout in 2 quarters

Pullman looks like a real winter wonderland.

The Apple Cup between No. 8 Washington State and Washington is under way, and what started as a cold rain has quickly turned into buckets of snow in Pullman. It started to turn to snow before the game began...

...and by the end of the first half basically everything was covered in white:

Wazzu head coach Mike Leach is barely visible on the sideline!

It’s a white out, folks:

Look at the snow accumulating on the helmets!

And it was so snowy that by the end of the second quarter, the Fox broadcast digitally inserted the hash marks and yard markers since the ones on the field were completely covered:

Please note this Wazzu coach WEARING SHORTS. BIG FOOTBALL GUY FOR SURE.

As for the forecast for the rest of the game, well, the snow looks like it’s gonna stick around for a good bit:

At halftime, the grounds crew had to bring out the ole plow!

Washington currently leads Wazzu 14-7 at halftime.
