Alamo Bowl 2018, Washington State vs. Iowa State: Where, when, and team info
The game in San Antonio now has its matchup.

Who’s playing in the 2018 Alamo Bowl?
Washington State (10-2, 7-2 in Pac-12)
The Cougars had an awesome, memorable season. They hosted College GameDay for the first time ever after years of clamoring for it, and it went even better than everyone thought it would. They were the Pac-12’s last true Playoff hope, sticking around until an upsetting Apple Cup loss to Washington in Week 13. Quarterback Gardner Minshew is awesome, both in facial hair and caliber of play. The defense raises a good bit of havoc. It’ll be a lot of fun to have Wazzu in this game, even if the Cougs hoped for bigger.
Iowa State (8-4, 6-3 in Big 12)
The Cyclones have become one of the better teams in the conference that used to treat them like a doormat. The way they’ve gotten there is interesting; coach Matt Campbell’s background is on offense, but their balanced defense is their strength. If we’re lucky, they’ll bring their full marching band to the bowl, and that band will dress up a bunch of members like dinosaurs again, as it did during one of the season’s best moments.
