Stanford Cardinal

Facing the lowly UC Davis Aggies at home last Saturday, the Cardinal gave star running back Bryce Love the day off to recover from an undisclosed injury. Love should be well-rested when he makes his return to the lineup this Saturday.

K.J. Costello is off to a good start under center for the Cardinal averaging 243 passing yards per game with seven touchdown passes through the team’s first three games. The defense has also been outstanding in allowing only 7.7 points per game heading into this tough test at Autzen Stadium.

The Cardinal went 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS in their previous five trips to Oregon before going 2-1 SU and ATS in their last three per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Oregon Ducks

The Mario Cristobal era in Oregon is off to a good start at 3-0 SU as the program tries to build itself back up to a national contender after going just 11-14 SU over its last two seasons.

While the wins and the 51.7 points per game so far in 2018 have been nice, it has all come against Bowling Green, Portland State and San Jose State. This Saturday’s game will be a much better barometer of where the team is at right now. The Ducks are just 2-11 ATS in their last 13 September home games.

Saturday night’s total is set at 57.5 points. The OVER is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings between these two teams.

With a win over USC already on the books, a victory in Oregon would cement Stanford as the biggest threat to the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 this season. An Oregon win, on the other hand, would shine a new light on the Washington at Oregon game looming next month.
