Ohio State Buckeyes

Urban Meyer’s suspension has come and gone, and the Buckeyes came out of the ordeal unscathed. In Meyer’s return last Saturday Ohio State crushed Tulane 49-6 as 37.5-point home favorites, improving to 9-0 SU over the team’s last nine games and 5-1 ATS over its last six.

Dwayne Haskins has emerged as a Heisman Trophy contender with 1,194 passing yards and 16 passing touchdowns through his first four games, and this Saturday’s game could give him a shot at earning a Heisman moment.

The Buckeyes have been favored by less than a touchdown 14 times since 2012. In those 14 games they are 11-3 SU and ATS per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Penn State Nittany Lions

Penn State’s offense hasn’t missed a beat after losing Saquon Barkley to the NFL Draft, averaging 55.5 points per game so far in 2018 including back-to-back 63-point performances against Illinois and Kent State.

The Nittany Lions are 8-0 SU over their last eight games and 5-1 ATS over their last six. Over the team’s last 26 games, the Nittany Lions are 20-5-1 ATS.

Saturday night’s total is set at 70.5 points. The OVER is 6-1 in Penn State’s last seven conference games and 9-3 in Ohio State’s last 12 conference games.

The last two games between these two teams have been instant classics with Ohio State winning by one last year and Penn State winning by three in 2016. With so much on the line and so much talent on both sides of the field, this one should be no different. This one should go right down to the wire and could come down to one big play.
