When Georgia gets together on Sunday to watch the film for the Tennessee game, I’m extremely curious as to what grade tight end Isaac Nauta earns for this play.
Georgia turned a missed block into a hilarious touchdown, because Tennessee
That’s one way to atone for the mistake by Isaac Nauta.

Nauta was credited with a 40-yard touchdown, and I’d venture to guess it’s the oddest he’ll ever score because he missed the block that created the score. And for the record, Nauta knows film review won’t go well for him.
Tennessee actually deployed a pretty ingenious delayed blitz here with the defensive tackle slanting hard to the inside and the defensive end widening to invite the linebackers in. But the defensive end actually was able to knock the ball out of Jake Fromm’s hand. But because of all that pressure brought by Tennessee, there’s nobody there to tackle Nauta after he picks up that perfect bounce to score.
Look, I don’t believe in curses ... I think. This is just the Tennessee football experience distilled, and that’s the second week in a row that the Vols have had something just inexplicable happen on a play that looked very promising.
When we talk about fumble recoveries largey being chalked up to luck, this play is what you should use as the textbook example.
This is the perfect storm of just football weirdness, and the Vols got blown away in it again.
