BUFORD, GA. -- At a windy Atlanta Elite 11 QB Camp that featured almost 30 recruits with FBS offers (18 of which had them from BCS schools), it was tough to stand out.
But it was hard to miss Syracuse quarterback commitment A.J. Long. Long, decked out in a Syracuse hat, shirt, shorts and socks, was extremely enthusiastic and competitive. And though he lacked the arm strength on the day to battle the wind like the more elite quarterbacks at the event, it is clear that he really enjoys playing football, and is eager to improve.

DeShaun Watson Bud Elliott (SB Nation Recruiting)BUFORD, Georgia -- After the Dallas Elite 11 camp failed to produce an invite to the final last weekend, the Atlanta camp had better luck Friday. The camp managed to produce an invite to the Elite 11 finals and The Opening without the instructors needing to see extra work at the Atlanta NFTC on Saturday, as Gainesville (Ga.) pro-style quarterback prospect Deshaun Watson was named the overall MVP and earned the second invite overall for the Elite 11 finals.
Watson, a consensus four-star prospect who is committed to Clemson and ranks as one of the top pro-style prospects in the country, will join Norman (Ok.). North pro-style quarterback David Cornwell in the finals. Cornwell was impressive last Saturday at the Dallas Elite 11 camp, but did not earn an invite until after he threw against live competition in Sunday’s Dallas NFTC.

According to SB Nation college football editor Jason Kirk, Tampa (Fl.) Wharton pro-style prospect Chase Litton may be the best prospect in attendance, with consistent efforts, including strong touch on his deep balls.

The Atlanta Elite 11 camp is underway out in Buford, Georgia, and SB Nation Recruiting is on the scene providing live updates of all the happenings as top regional prospects try to punch their ticket to Oregon for the finals.
Pro-style quarterback prospect A.J. Bush, who hails from Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton, has already received praise from Elite 11 coach Trent Dilfer for his work, including his ability to throw into a strong wind that is making things difficult for campers. He’s also one of the first winner of the Golden Gun Accuracy Challenge, along with Montgomery Van Gorder, a Buford (Ga.) product who is looking to make a name for himself at the event.
