F1 results 2017: Lewis Hamilton wins Italian Grand Prix, plus full finishing order
Lewis Hamilton now has the lead in the Drivers Championship after a win in the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Hamilton entered Sunday’s race just behind Vettel in the Drivers Championship standings, and with his win, he picked up 25 points and the lead in the championship. He now leads Vettel by just three points in the standings.
Max Verstappen of Red Bull came together with Felipe Massa of Williams early in the race following the start, and he suffered a puncture to his front right tire. He was already dealing with a poor start due to grid-place penalties for engine changes. Verstappen wound up replacing his front wing during his pit stop.
Romain Grosjean of Haas had to change his front wing early as well, leaving him at the back of the grid after being passed by Verstappen.
Around Lap 17, Ferrari and Force India called in Kimi Raikkonen and Esteban Ocon for the first round of pit stops. Lance Stroll of Williams came in next, and wound up behind both Raikkonen and Ocon.
Hamilton, Bottas, Vettel, Ricciardo and Perez were the top five at the mid-point of the race, and none of them had stopped yet. Hamilton came in on Lap 33, and rejoined the race in second place. Bottas came in on the next lap, and Hamilton retook the race lead. Bottas came back out in second place, just behind his teammate.
Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull started 16th on the grid but went on a long stint with his first set of tires, not going in until Lap 37. He came out ahead of Ocon and Stroll but behind the Ferrari and Mercedes drivers.
A couple laps later, Ricciardo came from behind and overtook Raikkonen on the fresher tire, getting into fourth and very close to another podium. Ricciardo tried hard to stalk Vettel down, but he couldn’t quite catch him. With another lap or two, Ricciardo might have managed to pass Vettel, but instead he settled for fourth place.
Despite all the early action, Jolyon Palmer of Renault became the first driver to retire around Lap 30 with an engine problem. On Lap 34, Vandoorne reported he had no power and he coasted into the pit lane while they evaluated whether or not he would need to retire, despite fitting a brand new engine in the car. Vandoorne did retire, becoming the second driver out of the race.
Both Marcus Ericsson of Sauber and Fernando Alonso of McLaren also had to retire with just a pair of laps to go.
